| do dogs "have to" tie to get prego? Just incase anyone has the same question I did.....do dogs have to tie in order for a successful mating.... NO.... is the answer! I dropped my Mia off at the breeder where she stayed for a week. When I picked her up the breeder said they never "tied" but did do the deed several times. She had never see that before and didn't know what to make of it. She did say the research showed they didn't "have to" tie but the odds are best if they did. I took her to the vet today for an ultrasound (she is on day 30 from day of drop off at the breeder) We saw at least three all well formed with heartbeats. Yeah!! I also took my two dairy goats in as I had NO CLUE by looking with them and they are with kid as well So they are all due the first week in May What a great 40th birthday present to myself LOL I'm so excited!! |

Living My Yorkie Dream Donating Member | Well, I was going to tell you that no, they do not have to have a tie to get pregnant, but looks like you've got your answer yourself. Congrats on your upcoming litter & good luck with the whelp!
