| You can do a blood test to see if she is pregnant and I believe they have to be over three weeks along.. A vet can also palpitate a bred female between 3-4 weeks to see if she took also.. You should never x-ray a pregnant female until she is at least 7-10 days before whelping, as it takes that long for the bones to calcify.. Melanie |

If I remember right, I took Mollie to the vet when she was about 5 - 6 weeks and the vet was able to tell by palpation(sp) that she was pregnant with 3. Good Luck. I know how excited you are. Please keep us posted.

| A sonogram can be done at around 4 weeks. This is not an accurate way of telling how many pups there are at this stage of the pregnancy. They can tell you if she is pregnant. I had a sonogram done on my Lucy a few years ago at around 3 to 4 weeks... they saw one pup... she had four!!!
