A sonogram can be done at around 4 weeks. This is not an accurate way of telling how many pups there are at this stage of the pregnancy. They can tell you if she is pregnant.

I had a sonogram done on my Lucy a few years ago at around 3 to 4 weeks... they saw one pup... she had four!!!
