| Opinions needed on female puppies... I'm currently looking at these females. What are your opinions on them looking at the pics? I know this could mean nothing but breeder says Her mother has .CH Country Air's Jubille Junior, he has .Ch Ju-Genes Winning Colors and Ra-Zi-De Lasting Impression in his ped. Anyone familiar? Thanks! |

| How far back in the pedigree are the chs? If past 3 or 4, there is very little influence on the quality of the puppy anyway. If you are looking for a nice pet and these babies meet your needs and are healthy and come with written guarantee, take back clause and spay agreement, then go for it. Of course, that is if the puppy is within your budget.. |

| pups Have you seen the pedigrees of the parents? Have you seen pictures of the parents? If not I would ask for those.. Are you wanting to purchase this girl for a breeding program? Just by looking at the pictures I personally would not bring her into my program.. JMO I have alot of the Ju-Genes line in a few of my yorkies, up close in the pedigree.. By looking at these two females they do not resemble what mine look like.. My kids that have the Ju-Genes in their line have the darker silk and the gold is almost red and they have the larger eyes.. I will look through my pictures and see if I have one small enough to attach to a post later.. Melanie |

| The blood line must be close in the pedigree and bred to a male that shares a familar lineage as yours Melanie. You can't compare your breeding to the quality of these pups. I have bred the same male to different females no two litters were alike. Last edited by dawneo; 12-14-2005 at 08:51 AM. |

| pups If you are buying a pet to be spayed, I would concentrate on personality and health. The other stuff is not important unless one has serious faults. Best wishes |

IMO bragging about lines is not away to sell puppies. To say the parents have CH this and CH that is away for the breeder to use those features as a marketing tool. What about the history of the health of the parents? Do they do genetic testing for Liver Shunt? How are the platellas? Ask to see pictures of pups produced from these parents if they have been bred before. Get a reference from the vet that states the breeder has good to say about the breeder's care for their Yorkies. Good luck! Irene

| Thanks everyone for all your opinions! The breeder did put champions in pedigree but did not say what champions and how far back, I asked. This is what she wrote back to me, Dams CH. is about 5 or 6 gen. back. Sires CH. is 2 & 3 it is his g-pa and great g-pa.. This is for breeding but you all have given me some good info that needs to be looked into. It just seems like asking so many questions, some breeders get turned off. I did get pics of sire and dam, but the pics are so bad you could hardly see them. Perhaps I'll post them here. I'm in no rush, if I cannot get my questions answered and the info I need I'll move on. Here they are... |

Melanie if you have a father/mother or grandfather/grandmother Ju-Gene and the compared pup has it 4 to 5 generations back it's unlikely they will share the same qualities. Most of the Ju-Gene bloodline would be bred out unless there is another commonality in the bloodline. For two litters to look alike using the same stud is unlikely unless the dams both share a common lineage as well complimentary features. I have 5 females that share their grandmothers pedigree none of which look a bit alike nor their offspring.

Irene is exactly right! Always the health is the most important and to make sure there are NO genetic defects! The second to me is the structure of the pups and the parents.. We also cannot forget the pedigree.. That gives you the tool to be able to research the bloodlines in this pup.. Always remember anything worth having is worth waiting for and your female will come along! Best wishes.. Melanie
