JP, I know you were not addressing me with your comment. I know exactly what you were saying. Angel and I thank you so very much for your well wishes!!
As a matter of fact, Angel and I thank ALL of you for your kind words and well wishes!! I don't "know" you guys yet. But, you are already treating me like a friend or family member. That means a lot to me! And, I thank you from the bottom of my heart!!!!
You know Gemy... every time I lose a dog, lose a puppy, figure the cost, time and work involved in breeding, or have some brainless idiot come look at a $1500 pup and have the unmitigated gall to ask me if I will take $200 for her, I ask myself why I bother breeding.
Then I think of the things that you mentioned. And, I think of how I so enjoy assisting when a newborn is having trouble slipping the bonds of her birth sack... helping a smaller, weaker newborn find a nipple and begin to nurse... the joy and comedy of watching as a pup gets her first drink of water and bite of food... the thrill of adopted parenthood bonding when she is finally big enough that when I pick her up, she roots in my beard and hunts for a nipple... the way my heart completely melts into a puddle of love as her tail wags at the speed of light while she backs her hears and enthusiastically licks my face!
All of these things run through my mind in the time it takes one's eye to twinkle. And, it is at that instant that I remember why it is that I breed these precious, mischevious, high spirited, fearless, loving babies!!!
Once again, Angel and I thank each and every one of you for your well wishes!! I will definitely let you all know how things turn out!
