suposedly 5weeks 3days prego Ok, so.. this is my first litter with this female. She is my pride and joy and I have been waiting for this moment. She is SOOO beautiful and everyone just LOVES her. I bred her on the 26 of june and so she's just over 5wks pregnant. (i'm hoping) Since this is her first litter... would 6wks be too late for her to really start showing? She litterally POPPED out at like 2 1/2 weeks and i got so excited thinking.. maybe there are like 4 pups in there and she's just going to start showing early.. then she stoped! and now.. she doesn't even have any breast changes. She is acting like she is.. she is laying around. she was off her food, and now seems like she cant get enough..lol. She didn't want her kibble so i've been giving her soft food.. Which i NEVER do. but i want to make sure she eats. I would be so devistated if after 3 ties and her being in OR for a week and a half, if she didn't turn up pg. This is her first litter and she's about 1 1/2 now. She came from a litter of 6, but that same mama has also had a litter of only 2 or 3. so.. i dont really know what to expect when it comes to how many she might have. I WILL for sure get an xray done at day 58ish. I'm just trying to ease my mind and see if anyone eles out there has had a female act and look pregnant early on and then just stop looking like she's growning and nothing changing till after 6 weeks.. Thankyou so much for any advice... Paisley Grace's mama.....

| She could possibly be carrying one or two pups and not be showing just yet or it is possible she had been pregnant and absorbed her pups. Good luck to you and please let us know what happens.

Thankyou so much! yea. I actually decided I should maybe shave her belly alittle higher than I already had and POOF! she had a belly! lol. So, we are indeed pregnant but dont know how many just yet. I will be doing the ultrasound on the 22nd of this month. other than that i'm tracking her weight and thats always been a go-to to find out about how many.. (1/2lb per pup by the last week of preg.) I just cant wait to feel them move! she's 6weeks tomorrow. thankyou again!! i'll keep ya'll posted. Gina and Paisley

Hi everyone. Thankyou so much for your support.. I am VERY excited, although, at this point (day 49) i'm not so sure we are still prego. She is still eating like mad, and acting VERY prego..but she really doens't look any different. the only time i see much of a belly is within an hour or so of her eating.. then it's like it kinda goes away. BUT her belly has been staying constantly hard.. like round and prego like, but not huge and BIG! so.. since this is her first pregnancy..i'm wondering if maybe she might only have 1. if thats the case then could it take alittle longer to show? My other female has always given me 4 pups..so by now.. she always (even her first time) looked REALLY pregnant. :/ so ya. i'll post a pic of mama and (hopefully) daddy..

what it comes down to is im having a hard time waiting and seeing if she's pg. I havn't felt any movement that i'm aware of. I thought i did a couple days ago, but then again, i thought maybe my mind was playing tricks on me.. so i donno. I have an appt for her to have that xray on the 22nd which is her day 58... so i'm hoping to see something then. but then again, i thought, i might as well just get an ultrasound done and see them NOW! lol.. so i donno.. time will tell and i cant change anything about it.

I have the issue with pix off my phone. Open in a viewer, copy pix and then paste into PAINT (or a similar program). Resave the pix as a picture format (.bmp, etc) and that should upload. I think the cell pictures (for me) are a different format so they don't auto resize when posting to forum.
