I would be highly skeptical of any breeder who spoke with certainty about adult weight, especially 3 pounds. A breeder can make an educated guess, but they should stipulate that it is nothing more than a guess.

It's always best to see the AKC documents of the parents before making a commitment.

Hope the puppy is healthy now.

I was unaware that this was uncommon or harmful to the puppies. My mom saw one somewhere, and has always wanted one since. My mom loves the puppy, but she is a house pet and not something that she can take in her purse. She wants something that she can take places, and I don't know what to do for her. I tried getting her what she wanted and its blown up in my face. I still feel as though I was ripped off, and feel I could have gotten a healthier puppy from a different breeder for a lot less money.

Well I understand they are guessing but how is it possible that a 3.2 pound female and 2.6 male can make a 5 pound going 6 pound baby? Is that saying two average size people having and 8 foot tall person, that's just not possible, it just genetics. So yet we were lied to again, or I am not understanding something. And these same two parents had another two litters in the last two months and I KNOW that isn't possible, dogs are pregnant for at least two months.

And the ACK papers I wish I would have known that before. I only thought to ask if he registered the puppies not to see the papers of the parents.

She's still coughing and still on antibiotics.

Is there anything that can be done... Anyone I can complain to?

My mom at this point wants to get an attorney. Which if we have to we will, but if there's a less costly way to handle this I would like to try that first. I am almost certain he's a broker or a puppy mill. But no way to be certain, but the fact that he has the same parents listed, after reading back to post from 12-19-2012 he has the same parents listed. You cant tell me that these puppies parented two litters within a 3 month time period. I've been told that a puppy is pregnant for two months at a time, and shouldn't there be a time period to wait in between heats? I know humans have two wait a certain amount of time to recover before they have be intimate with their spouse after having kids....

Or maybe I am way off, and confused and just want answers. This is so frustrating.

1. with this type of breeder there is no way to know that the 3.2 lb female and 2.6 male are the real parents

2. Unless you have a contract with things spelled out like weight and AKC papers being promised probably not.

3. Any decent breeder would expect you to take a dog with kennel cough to the vet

I think someone said your state has puppy lemon laws, try to find that out. Did he violate any promises he made on his website. Another thing is to start putting info out on this breeder anywhere you can and ask for people to contact you and perhaps as a group something can be done. You can also call the authorities in his county to see what type of license they have for operating a kennel. Call vets in a 25 mile radius and see if they have any info on this guy. Just be careful that what ever you put in writing on the internet that you can easily backup, there is unethical breeder here in MI that has a knack for dragging people into court if they say bad things about her. Good luck hope the puppy is getting better.

I wish I would've seen this thread a month ago. I too am fighting with Jason Hill for a puppy I recently purchased from him. I had to take her to the emergency vet within 24hrs of getting her & despite the health guarantee & all the documentation I have given him, he still is trying to place blame of an existing infection on anyone but himself. I have spent a lot of my time trying to resolve this. I came across this thread after searching for Yorkie Match complaints on google today.

My friend found the site for me, she doesn't know anything about Yorkies and was just trying to help because she knows how much my mom wanted one. I had read in a magazine to call and talk to SOMEONE, not a machine. To make sure that the parents were on site and ask about registration, ect. ect. ect. I had this big long check list and everything SEEM to check out.

He assure me that the puppies are registered, when I asked about the AKC. He told me that the parents were on site, there shots were up to date, but when I asked if I could come see the puppies his first excuse was that the puppies were still too young(yet they were listed at 10 weeks old), the second excuse was that he was out of town. What I wanted to say was then whose watching the puppies, but I just left it. But on the web site it looked like the puppies were well taken care of and the 'Hill' family all pitches in and helps. He also assured me that the puppy fully grown would fit in my mom's purse, being 3 pounds.

The night we went to go pick up the puppies, I sent my mom to go pick up the puppy as a surprise. When she got back with the puppy she said that she heard the parents in the other room and he only let them in the front living room, thought everything still appeared clean. But when I looked at the puppy she looked way bigger than what I had asked. But he assured me that she would be small, so I again left it alone.

Within the next week the puppy started coughing and so I sent a text to Jason about it because I remember him telling me that if the animal is sick within the first month he would pay the vet bill, he informed me that it was kennel cough don't worry about it that all puppies get it and it will go away. But then she started getting a runny nose and it got worse. I took her to the vet, and it turns out that it was kennel cough and that she needed antibiotics. I texted Jason again at this time, and seemed to mad that I took her too the vet and he would not pay bill.

Next came the papers, Jason had informed my mom that they would come in the mail. When they came they were from the CKC not the ACK, from what I've been told is that the this is not a reputable registry. And the parents listed were not the same as the ones on the web site, so by this time I was very confused. I know that some dogs have 'stages names' but these were far fetched names they were no where near the same names. And if they were ACK registered I would be able to look them and see if they were really the parents or not, but because its CKC they don't always the picture on file.

By this time, seeing all these lies I was very frustrated and not sure what to say to him. By I confronted him about it and he would not respond.

Now I've been tracking my puppies weight and her size, she was suppose to be 3 pounds. She is now 5, and is charting to be twice the weight he promised me. Now if this was my dog I would just let it go but this I pointed out several times in the phone call and he assured several time that he has 27 years experience and that he's rarely wrong when it comes to weight. Now he is tell me that he has no guarantee's, this upsets me because this is my mother present and she's been wanting a small purse Yorkie and still doesn't have one. I paid A LOT of money for this puppy and still don't have want she wanted. If I want a 6 pound Yorkie I would have gotten the 800$ Yorkie he has listed. Or better yet I would have gotten a 5 pound Yorkie for 600$ somewhere else!

I asked him how we can resolve this and all he is offering is too give me another dog for the SAME price as I got for my puppy... I am sorry but I am not insane and wont fall for the same trick twice. I think something needs to be done about this breeder, its crazy how he keeps getting out of doing anything he says he's going to do.
Oh my! I just saw this, haven't been on in a while.
Thank goodness my baby is much better now.
Though, I never did receive as much as an apology from Jason.
He needs to be shut down.
What a traumatizing experience I had with him.
I want to say it was all worth it now that I have a healthy & beautiful baby, & it was, because I was blessed with her. But, at the same time, no puppy or new owner should ever have to experience such a thing.

Default RE: Bad Breeder post about Jason Hill at Yorkiematch.com

Looking to find previous people who have done business with Jason Hill with yorkiematch.com. I bought a puppy from him and the puppy didn't have her bottom teeth at all. I discovered this when I took her to my vet in the 7 days I was required to do so. Her teeth have finally started coming in. However, Jason told me that I would receive my paperwork from CKC. (Continental Kennel Club). I bought the puppy on June 12th. I have also talked to CKC and they told me he already registered the litter. All I would like is my paperwork. Can anyone else help me. I've tried calling him and he hasn't returned my calls. He also still has the picture of the puppy I bought 2 weeks ago on his site. Has anyone else had issues with this man??? I think he's a broker. He even signed the wrong date on my receipt.

Wow. I am so glad that I checked this site! Last night I sent an adoption application to YorkieMatch.com for an adorable male named "Rocky". Today I received an e-mail reply asking if I wanted to make a deposit on him and I replied that I was waiting to hear from them first because some breeders do not seem to keep their websites current. I also asked to confirm that he is AKC registered/registerable. Then I googled the address that they give on their website as their home and discovered that the address does not exist. The address provided on the website is 22800 N 22nd St. Phoenix, Arizona, but when I google mapped it, it is an easement across the street from an elementary school which is 22801 N 22 Street). There are no houses on N 22 street. Their "Reviews page" led me to the name "Jason Hill Yorkies" which led me here. I feel like I just dodged a bullet! And it's interesting that the sire "Winston" is still listed as 3 years old and being that this thread goes back to 2010, "Winston" if he really exists has to be at least 7 years old by now.

Wish I had come here first before buying a puppy from Jason Hill. I have a sick puppy that he claims is my fault. Had the puppy only a few days when she became sick. He claims it's because I didn't take her to the vet. Now she is coughing which of course he states is also my fault. Only had her two weeks and have spent a small fortune. States his health guarantee doesn't cover her being sick and that I should return her because "I can't take care of her". I contacted his vet who stated they haven't seen any of his puppies since 2001! He's also threaten to take me to court if I don't stop contacting him. SEE YOU IN COURT!!!!! Jason Hill is a backyard breeder, a liar, and a crook.

Hello and welcome to YorkieTalk. I hope your puppy gets better. Was she coughing when you got her? Did the vet say if she had kennel cough? How old was she when you got her and had she had any shots? If she has kennel cough it will take several weeks for her to get over it.
