| Pregnant I was hoping that some of Yorkietalk's finest could help me with this. I am a small time breeder, I have been breeding for years. I have been watching my daughter's yorkie for two months now (she is in the process of completing her internship and is never home due to her work and school schedule). When she brought her over she did not realize that she was in heat. Well as you all know what happened, she is pregnant now. I had calculated that her due date is March 15th. I have two females myself and in my experience, one goes into labor around day 59-60 and the other around day 65. (so I know all dogs carry differently). Pearl (my daughter's dog) has had milk (colestrum) for 6 days now. She lays around as she is very uncomfortable. I check her temp daily and it has never fallen below 98. She has only nested once and that was 2 days ago. Has anyone had a pregnant dog that had milk that long before labor? Even though she doesn't seem in trouble I'm concerned.

| I have had females get milk as early as one week before delivery. Did you witness the tie? If she bred late in her heat cycle then it is quite possible she will have the pups sooner. Is is possible she could have been bred prior to coming to you house? It does not sound like she has another week to go.

| I agree, the 15th is no way. I did see her breed. And I was horrified. = No it is not possible that she was breed before coming to my house. She is an inside dog, and NEVER goes out. She hangs with a cat and uses a litter pan. LOL
