Our goffins cockatoo wasn't too thrilled that this was going on during his bed time but he settled down about 1 1/2 hours ago. Chewy is in his crate wondering what the heck is going on over there. Husband is sleeping.. very successful night.
We're gonna have our friend come over tomorrow (well during the day lol) and help us with the dew claws and a look over to see if the pups are okay. They are all good sizes at least 2 oz. each. I wanted the babies to stay warm and fed before we start messing with it. Georgia is really stepping up to the plate and watching over her babies. I'm so lucky

Congratulation on your new litter. It sounds like momma and you did an awesome job. You might consider waiting a few days on the tails and dewclaws. I usually do them on the 3rd or 4th day. Your pups seem awful tiny so giving them a little extra time might be better for them.

yeah I am going to wait another day or two. I was really tired when I wrote all that so I was all over the place. They are all doing awesome though. Mama is taking wonderful care and the pups are all really starting to gain weight and stay warm.. woohoo

P.S. the babies were at least 4 ounces.... mis type lol!

Thanks!!! We're doing well today, the smallest one is between 4.5 - 5oz. and the biggest one is a little over 6 oz. I've been keeping an eye on the pups and momma is eating and drinking and getting out of the box every once in a while and stretching out. Had our friend come over yesterday afternoon and she checked out the babies and said that they are doing sounding and looking great. Always good to hear.

Thanks we're still doing good. I weighed them a bit ago, and it was ranging from 5.25 oz. to almost 7 oz! It's so crazy. I am still very proud of Georgia, it's hard to feed that many babies. I just gotta make sure Georgia is constantly available to food and water and that the babies are eating. So far so good. Keeping positive for the future.

Another day down and I must say, things are still looking up. Weighed my babies today and they have gained .5-1 oz. in weight within a day. Overall, they all have gained half their weight in 3 days, so I'm still watching and making sure all 6 babies are getting fed! I guess I'm still in the "what if" nervous stage so I just have to take it day by day. No red flags yet, and I'm looking forward to all healthy babies and momma! thanks everyone!! I appreciate the support.
