| Is still still doing anything or did she quiet back down? She may not be ready yet and you may still have a few days. Hang in there. Last edited by Sara1130; 02-18-2011 at 04:20 PM. |

| Sounds like the 1st stage of labor if she isn't pushing at all . . .is she digging or pacing or just laying there?

| Is she licking herself at all? Any discharge? No pushing though, right? I still want to say 1st stage labor, but honestly, you might want to post a new thread on here for all the breeders to see title it somewhere along the lines of I THINK ITS TIME . . .sometimes breeders won't keep looking into threads that have many pages . . . Just be calm, everything will be ok . . .I know you'll get all the help you need.

| No Longer a Member | 1st say take a deep breath and stay claim little momma knows when big momma is upset, 2nd It does sound like 1st stages of labor with the belly harding up like rocks, but right befor time, They usally will try to find a quite dark place to hide, some pant and digg, some do not, You will notices when she starts to push, When pushing begains she will start to dilate, As the pups come down you will see her opening get a little bigger and will be able to see a black looking bubble inside, But stay claim, Just remember what youve learned during these past 60 days, and if somelthings not right . your gut will tell you. Good luck many prayers. |

No worries so far...you are doing GREAT!!!!!!!!!!! I agree with the others, you are probably in the early stage and that can take a few hours to 24 hours. Keep her in a quiet area away from everyone else (pets included) and let her get her rest while she can. She is going to have a busy night. Her vulva will open up. You will be able to see inside and as a pup starts moving down you will see it in the opening. That is how I knew Bella was in labor....remember she did no panting, digging, or nesting. Has she been drinking or eating today? Sounds like it is going to be soon. Your doing great Grandma!!!! | |

| OK so we have 2 puppies so far... #1 is a Girl & #2 is a boy... the boy came out with a greenish placenta, when i wiped him down he was green... Momma isnt doing much, they cant even latch, we had to rip open the sac for her & try to feed them, I am a nervous wreck, I am trying to help her but she walks away, shes rebelling big time... |
