The bitch is 15 months and is in her second heat cycle...am I reading the post correctly...
What I did not understand was the member posting they hoped the fact she was in her "2nd period a mistype"...
Help me people...what am I missing...what is the problem for bitch to be having her second heat at 15 mos..?

i was hoping that she meant to type heat or season and had read up enough to know that a period is a completely diferent thing... sorry, i didn't think it was a weird thing to say- i have had convos with poeple (one lady in particular) who genuinely thought the dogs heat and her human period was the same thing, and didnt understand why that is when a dog should be bred- just knew that was how it was done so wanted to breed her girl...

But isn't a dogs heat and womans period the same thing...except a dog comes in her season once to twice per year, where as a woman does this on a monthly basis..
It is the same thing...read about it...the bitch begins to bleed, she rarely becomes pregnant while she is bleeding red...the bleeding subsides and in a period of days ovulation occurs...if a male is present and a "breeding" takes place, there is a good chance both dog and woman can become pregnant..it is Mother Nature 101...heat, season, cycle or period, all the same process...except you rarely see a human running around wagging her butt in a males face..well, rarely!!
