"Also, found that I couldn't have my vet remove it" " they can remove the chip themselves, any one can do it regardless of what others will tell you." "After the chip "mysteriously fell out" Hmmmm, the chip mysteriously fell out of your dog?? As my mother would say "pull the other one, it's got bells on it" |
There is no way a chip can "mysteriously fall out". I suspect it was cut it out of your dog. No, I would not call this surgery...I would call it mutilation. So very sad. :( |
You actually would cut a microchip out of your little dog and call it "not at all detrimental"? I had a tiny growth taken from my face by a plastic surgeon under completely sterile conditions but the local did not "take" appropriately and it hurt so badly I cried! I would have screamed but I didn't want to scare the surgeon and cause him to jerk his hand! Plus, that operated site was painful for several days and it was just on the skin surface - not buried beneath as a microchip. Oh, I would call surgery on one's own dog to remove a microchip abuse! Are you sure you aren't just angry and saying mean things just to shock?!?! You would not really take a knife to your little pet would you? |

Chips can cause cancer? Show some stats. What are the chances? Of all the people on YT who have chipped dogs, not ONE has said the chip caused them cancer. You know what many have said HAS caused them cancer? Not getting their bitches spayed. and one more thing you seem to keep side stepping... how did the chip "mysteriously fall out"???? until you clear that up, it is overwhelmingly read and understood as YOU CUT IT OUT YOURSELF, which is animal abuse plain and simple. If you didn't, you should explain yourself. Otherwise, it'd be hard for me to see why someone would want to get their dog groomed by a butcher. |

You joined in January according to your profile. Seems to me that you may have been on here earlier under a different user name to have been a "voice of reason" Because under your current user name you have only 18 posts at this time and none of them are being a voice of reason. I have my dogs chipped. I am not a breeder. And members cannot blackball other members. You say those with other opinions are "bullies" well there is another word for people who come on to stir up trouble - we call them trolls. Look it up in the dictionary and you just may see your picture there. |

Microchips are made of a biocompatible glass. The metals inside are hermetically sealed. There is NO reputable scientific data even remotely suggesting what this person says is true. There is a heck of a lot more data that proves that dogs who aren't ID'd end up being euthanized in shelters. Properly implanted chips don't "mysteriously fall out" without a lot of outside assistance. The fact that someone would assist in that would send up a huge red flag to me about using them as a groomer. I would be afraid of what else they might be doing to dogs. I have a seriously hard time believing that a commercial breeder (puppy mills) would want their dogs chipped or that, if chipped, they wouldn't want the information switched over to the new owner's name. What I do find more likely is that a new owner wouldn't want to pay the $20 transfer fee that most chips charge for changing info. Either that or they had a reason to want to obscure where the dog was obtained from. Things that make you go "hmmmm".... |

They think they run this show and they will black ball anyone who thinks differently than they do. I think you call them bullies. The owners of this site have warned of such attacks on others because of their opinions. Many have quit using this site due to such childish aggression. Well they don't scare me and I will continue to be the voice of reason among a pack of wolves. My original point was: I believe breeders have their own agenda for micro chipping their names on your pet. Microchips do cause cancer, and it is not at all detrimental to remove a small grain of rice, as they like to call it, from your pets skin. It is your pet, don't let anyone bully you into treating it as you see fit! I am sure I will continue to get many immature and spiteful comments. Let the record stand for itself, who is being attacked for asking a question and having an opinion? Real mature of all of you. Hope you think you told me good! It makes you all so mad because you know I am right and you don't want others to know the truth. For everyone else who commented on this site that they don't like microchips and breeders putting their stamp on a puppy they own, good for you and don't let the bullies tell you are wrong. Have a wonderful evening everyone. The Bolded out comments on your above statement are very telling. However, based on your past posts, which are by no means reasonable, but questions and statements of one that is completely unknowledgable. It has been stated that many breeders do microchip their pups but, the pups are registered by their new families. Do I think the breeder's information should be attached to the chip info, yes. The micro-chip register corporations are indeed in their infancy stages. I would hope that as it evolves it will make every breeder/owner responsible for those pups they produce or own. |
What you have sited here is against the law....very telling of your character. |
