Trixie's babies opened their eyes over the past few days. We took some pics the day before (below) but I don't want to go flashing something bright in their little bitty eyes just yet to capture that milestone!

And ... what I can't figure out is ... "Wrong Way" has gained the most weight in a week!
Little Girl 5oz to 5.7oz = +7oz
Blaze 4.2oz to 5.1oz = +9oz
"Wrong Way" 4.9oz to 6oz! = 11oz!
And, "Wrong Way" exited the box last night! I had to raise Mini's opening! When I hear squalling ... I know who it is! LOL

Bamafan121s: Yours are darling! Don't you think they look a little like Rotweillers ...that was the first thing that came to mind when I saw my Mini's little ones ... not that I've seen that many rots (only big ones) ... but the babies black & brown (gold) and pointy ears, and short shiny coat ...
hmmmm ... nah .... Mickey was the only visitor ...

Hi, IDenise! Sorry I've been slack ... but I know you remember what it was like the first few days ... week ... month? One nice thing, Mini's lightened up ~ and more or less rejoined the family! She even wanted to go with us last night to the Grocery Store ... and didn't get too worried waiting, ... but she sure rushed her waddle through the house, down the hall and back to her babies when we got home! LOL

I've kind of gotten into a routine here ...
5:00am Take Mini out to pee
7:00am Repeat 5:00am, feed Mini Breakfast, Infamil, calcium & Antibiotic
9:00am, 11:00am, 1:00pm, 3:00pm, 5:00pm Take Mini out to pee
7:00pm Repeat 5:00pm, feed Mini Dinner & Antibiotic
9:00pm, 11pm Take Mini out to pee
1:00am to 3:00am Hubby on call to take Mini out to pee
It's great, the rest of the day and evening is all mine!
And, next week we get to trade the daily antibiotic for a weekly bath!

That is exactly what we all thought...baby rotweilers. Glad to hear Mini is doing well enough to go to the store! I kind of got worried w/ Trixie after week 1 because she was always so eager to come to whatever room we were in!? I thought, "well she got tired of those babies waaaay too quick." But then I noticed she would go back and forth between us and them. That is good to know that Mini is the same way. I was wondering... By the way, being a HUGE Disney fanatic who feels the need to go to Walt Disney World several times a year...I am obvoiusly LOVING the names!

They have Disney Names?

None of my Grands live close anymore, 'cept a very young "Spongebob" fan ~ so I don't see or hear much Disney anymore ...

Actually Mini's babies are one week old and she's wanting me to play keep away with her toys ... we play on the bed, just she and I, we leave Chipper on the floor - he's too fast - he'll grab all the toys and run with them!
And, today she actually took a bit of a nap with me. She's still just a baby, 16 months.

How old are the babies before you start holding them, say 5 minutes or so, to start socializing them so they're used to human touch and not too dependent on their siblings?

Dependency is probably not going to be a problem with "Wrong Way" ... last time I looked he was practicing pull-ups on the pig rail!
The little guy definitely listens to a different drummer!

Here's pictures of Mickey, I don't have a picture of his white Grandsire or Granddam ... which was really dumb of me at the time, he is quite beautiful ... Since Mick has become a Dad, I would like a picture of his Sire, I'll call and ask the breeder to send one and, if not, I'll plan to take one next time I'm in Southern California.

Here's Mickey, he's smaller than Mini and very small boned, weighs 3.5lbs.

Oh .... right. But they're really "Michelob" and "Minuet" as in beer and dance. LOL I was thinking you meant "Star" and "Blaze" ... they sound like horses names ...
but they're just descriptive to me, as is "Wrong Way".
