| Nursing ... BUT NOT CLEANING! My Mini with the "C" Section and Oxytoxin Injection is now nursing! But she will not stay in the box and she will not clean them, I'm afraid they've stopped pooping! Any ideas how to turn a inexperienced "C" Section into a loving mother?? Or, how long should I rub their little butts to simulate cleaning?

| you should poop and pee them by taking a cotton ball dipped in warm water. gently rub their privates to stimulate them. (picture in your mind the way the mother would lick and use that motion) you should do this a few times each day. hopefully she will start doing it as she settles in more. glad to hear she's nursing! when they can't nurse, that's when things can get really tough for everyone. |

| Robbie, Thank you so much ... I hope I haven't caused a problem by being so dumb ... I just now noticed there is no poop on their bed (wash cloth) over kitty litter bag and heating pad. They all peed when I did as you suggested ... but, I hope they poop soon! I'm crossing my fingers! Thank you again!

| I hope you received my PM... I would try to put a little nutri-cal on their little bottoms, or something she likes to encourage her to stimulate them. It has worked for me in the past.. Keep us posted....

| I agree with the above poster. It is normal to not see any poo in the bed because the mom eats the poo poo and keeps that area very clean. It's instinct. You can keep stimulating their little bottoms until you know for sure that she is indeed eatting the poo poo. just keep helping her out like you've been doing until she gets the hang of it Keep us posted with updates!
