Spoke to two breeders and need some advice. I've spoken with 3 breeders today, and I am so confused. Here are sites for 2, the 3rd does not have a website. This is one breeders site The FurKids Yorkies this is another Joymason Yorkies: Breeder of Adorable Yorkshire Terriers Both ladies were wonderful to talk too, and I am so confused on which one to go with. They both live in an area where they can fly the pup directly to me on a fairly short flight. Both pups I am looking at from each breeder are the same price $1500. I would love some input, if you don't want to discuss here, please PM me. |
The first one has way too many dogs. 42 dogs counting the yorkies, biewers and 2 maltese!!:thumbdown The second one looks good but there isn't a whole lot of information to go by so I would make sure you do more research into it. |

Yeah, They are not all hers apparently she list some for a friend, because when I asked about a certain pup, she told me it belonged to this other person. I know, the second website hasn't been updated in 2 years, the breeder sais she is not web savvy and she never really bothered with it. Both ladies were very nice to talk to and very informative. |
What type of guarantee and contract do you get..? Best wishes |

The second one has a very good contract, and she said she is there for the life of the dog if I encounter any problems or need advice. |
I know of neither one. I think that the 2nd one has pretty parents and does show. I would have to ask: Pics of parents and pups Testing done on parents and pups Vet checked References Have you asked these questions? Answers? |

The 3rd breeder 1 Attachment(s) This is the female from the 3rd breeder, she was actually recommended to me by Betty Ann Durrer. This little girl is a year old and 5lbs and $1500. I'm interested in her, I just don't know if I can get a direct flight for her, it is being checked out tomorrow. ( pups from each breeder are the same price. ) |

Bile acid tests? OFA certification for hips and knees? CERF? The no genetic defects in their lines is bologna....everyone has had them at least once. I feel that if they do not have any genetic defects in their lines then they should prove it to me with testing done on the parents. How about the pups will they be bile acid tested prior to leaving? If the parents are not tested I would demand it for the pup before buying for sure. After that I would check references of their vet and other puppy purchasers... Like was said before just because someone charges 1500 for a puppy and may show does not impress me. This pup will be with you for years to come, take your time. Check into the references looking for vet hoping or bad experiences or health issues. Ask about the buyers experiences and how the dogs are kept. You can learn alot that way. Good luck on your search. Do not settle for anything less. It will pay for itself in the long run. |

Yes, one mentioned a girl she had with Luxating patella (sp) some years back, and another said one girl once was tested positive for liver shunt and they had her removed from breeding and spayed. Do you think 1500 is to much? I've seen puppies that people who are more or less throwing two dogs together just for the sake of getting some pups to sell, and they ask up to 1000$ I've looked at countless site, wrote to dozens of breeders, these 2 are closest to me for shipping. If you knew where I lived you would understand:rolleyes::) I will not purchase from either before contacting previous buyers and seeing the health guarantee in writing. |

I know you live off the mainland and that makes it very hard for you to personally visit breeders. I would also want to know if this is the first breeding of this pair, or a repeat breeding. If repeat breeding, how has the first litters health been? Any problems reported to the breeder? You can also cross check the BA Drurrer's recommendation with Loreta - see if she knows this breeder. BTW I liked the pic of the dog which is the 3rd breeders dog. |

I do not think 1500 is too much if the pup has been Bile acid tested and the parents have passed these health screens and the references turn out good. I think it is right on track. However, if the tests have not been done then to me it is too much. I am glad you have asked alot. I would just want proof on the parents..but that is me. I hope you find a healthy furbaby and I am sure you will!!!:D |

I would say if Betty Ann Durrer recommended her she will be a good breeder. |
