Im worried but nothing I can really do atm... I have her boxes all set up and ready if needed. I cant wait for tomorrow.

Lastnight and this morning Gracie decided the kittens were her children and was fussing over them till soaked and trying to nurse them..I was very worried about her doing that.. Ive since taken her to the vet and erays show NO BABIES! She is just wishing to be a mommy again I guess. ANyway the Vet gave me some anti biotics to prevent her from forming infection in her Teets and he told me not to feed her for 24 hours..He doesnt like to use " dry up" meds and says that by not allowiong her to eat and cutting her water intake for the day she should be ok and realize she isnt having babies..He said the lumps moving are just something she is doing with her tummy and she is so into the idea of being pregnant she is " showing". Gracie might need help? lol Im kidding !! Shes gotta wait to be fixed now 3 weeks but she wont be in danger of getting pregnant cuz shes always with me. Thank you all for the support..that was a very scarey thing to deal with... Now just keep her off the kittens!!!{ they are 2 months old and have no want for Gracies mothering!"

Ok everyone.... Apparently Gracie now thinks she is in labor cuz shes been licking herself to death for the past 10 minutes..panting like crazy and lays down a minute then jumps up moves and starts licking again.... She is really nuts

I've had one girl that had a false pregnancy. Your Gracie sounds like she's going all out with hers. With the vet doing an x-ray, at least you're sure she's not pregnant. I don't know of any dangers except for engorged teats, but do watch for that.

When my Scarlett had her false pregnancy, she 'went full term' with her's, had plenty of milk, but didn't show any signs of labor. She did want a baby to mother after it was done and got attached to one of her toys.

Holy cow. Poor baby.

I want to learn that stomach trick, though. I can understand all the other false signs, but someone actually seeing a stomach move without pups being there is just mind boggling!

Hope she doesn't suffer with this for too long.

Poor little girl. I also had a girl with a false pregnancy but at least she didn't have a false labor as well. Maybe it would help if she had a stuffed toy or a little squeaky toy to mother.
I have one girl who adopted a little squeaky duck even though she had three babies. She mothered that duck along with the rest of her litter right through to weaning. She even got upset if someone picked up her duck.

My Lola just got her first heat back in the beginning of May. Few weeks ago I noticed she would really like me rubbing her tummy. Low and behold her teets were a bit swollen and after massaging them a little some milk came out. She has been having a false pregnancy. Her "due date" has come and gone and she is finally getting over it. She never took it to extremes with a false labor or even nesting.

We will be spaying soon. I read that once they have one false pregnancy it can occur after each heat.

I have never had a bitch go through a false pregnancy so I am not that up to date of how they act..but if I had a bitch acting like your girl and you saw "lumps" moving, I would sure look for puppies...good luck

Gracie is a very confused dog..She has all her stuffys and she thinks they are her kids .. The vet said he has only once seen a dog fake lobor.. the thing that was lacking is she had no contractions..she just kept licking and licking and jumping around and keeping her butt low so not to drop her imaginary baby.Gracie is fine now ..shes had her " Pups" { Stuffies}and all is well! Except now she growls when anyone comes in athe room except me. lol... My poor lil girl..I feel so bad for her but she will be fixed in about 3 weeks and she wont have to do this all again. As far as her leaking..it was so bad when I took her to the vet and she saw a tiny lil baby yorkie she wanted so bad ..I picked her up and she let down all over me... It was BAD! She has antibiotics so she wont get infection.. I just wanted to share how she was acting today. Gracie had her imaginary pups! { wow}

Poor little girl. She's just been through heck and back with everything that has gone on in her short little life. My heart just breaks for her. I'm so glad she ended up with someone who is going to protect her from now on.
