Shes definately got some fullness to her tummy. You should start taking her temp and watch for a drop in her temperature that stays down. Do you remember what it was at the vet's office?

My girls' temp has been up and down. She wont eat today. They go off their food prior to whelping too. I wouldnt leave her alone to be on the safe side.

Not all girls have a drop in temp prior to whelp, some elevate slightly. I've yet to have a girl go off food....will eat right up to the last minute and I do give goats milk, egg yolk and Karo syrup in between pups.....

I think it was 102.. She has been getting some good food since she broke out from the IAMs I was feeding her so I hope the babies will be fine IF she is going to have them ..I am real worried about her . I tried to get a few pictures so it would show how her nipples are and her tummy ..Plus Im not sure she is swelled down low or not..shes always had big girly parts ..

Since this is her first litter, her muscles are still taunt.

If the temp stays down for 12 hours....a female is getting ready to whelp......However, if it drops below 97, get her into the vet quick.....she's going into shock.

Its not her first...they bred her before .. They said she had about 8 litters...shes only 3!

Do you mix the goats milk, egg yolk and karo together?

That doesn't make sense. That's too many heat cycles for such a short period of time.

Well I just know what the wench told me ..I have no idea..remember I just got her from a rotten person who first told me she couldnt have puppies then said she bred her... I dont know what to think!

I feel helpless right now.. Im not sure everything Gracie has been through and not sure one word that wench told me is true... I just know Im worried and tryin to do the best thing for her now.

You are doing fine. Just take a breath and relax. She couldn't have ended up in better hands.

You said you were a nurse, right? Trust your instincts. You know what borborygmi feels and sounds like. Do these movement feel different to you?

Its very different ..its lumps moving about.. U can see them at times while she is resting.

I think I feel so helpless because I took her to a vet..he assured me no puppies and I dont know a thing honestly about Gracies history except what an abuser told me and what I saw when I went to get her.

I thought you had said the reason she sold her to you is because she'd been bred and never took.

At the very least, you know she's at term according to what the witch said. Why the vet missed this, I can't answer.

LOL that would have to be some bionic gas to see moving about her abdomen at rest. Man....I'm sorry your going through this.

There's no way should have had 8 litters and be only 3....even if she came into season every 6 months....and they began breeding her at her first season.

I looked at the pictures in your profile. I couldn't tell for sure but was looking to see if she had any scarring, which would indicate previous c-sections. If she has no scars, at least she has a history of free-whelping, though that's no guarantee of this time around.

She does sound like a bigger girl than I thought from your previous thread. Did you not say she was 8 pounds now? At least we're not talking about an undersize girl whelping, though you have to be concerned due to her earlier neglect before you got her. Best of luck with Gracie.

She told me so many different things ..first that she wouldnt get pregnant then when I called and said I felt flutters she told me she bred her ... then I called she said there was 8 litters..I dont know what to believe..I just know she is leaking milk and her tummy is lumpy.. I guess I did believe she never would have pups ... I do remember she told me she wouldnt but later she says she had 8 litters and was" Used up" but still she said she bred her with the boy she has... I guess I have to wait to see

Yes she is 8 lbs now..atleast last I checked..2 days ago..she is a normal size yorkie ..I knew that but her bones U could count her ribs before... and feel her back bone
