See you do not have any experience with fixed males around females in heat so for you to jump the gun and imply the vet didn't do the job properly is offensive! I don't see how thats a shark attack as you claim. I am not a vet either but I speak WITH experience that it IS possible and that it doesn't mean the procedure wasn't done correctly. So excuse me please but I do know what I am talking about!

| Lol whatever it's the internet and you may feel it's an attack thats your opinion. I agree vets can make mistakes but the way you were wording your answers were pretty blunt that it's impossible and her vet must of messed up! I was just telling you that I know from experience different as well as others said it is possible even if there are no testies. So take it as a lesson learned and move on |

I know a lady who had a stud horse, not a dog I know, castrated however, the next day he broke out and bred a mare. She became pregnant. If the sperm is not removed from their tubing, for lack of a better word, it can be 30 days before he is fully a gelding. These are horses and not dogs I know, but I was wondering if this could happen. There has been some fer useful information in this thread and I have increased my education. Thanks OP for asking.

| It can happen. One time about a year ago my baby Layla went into heat. You could tell that it was really driving my roomie's neutered dog Duke absolutely nuts. He was jumping around on the furniture and letting out a whine we'd never heard him make. We made the mistake of leaving them alone for ten minutes. Came back, they were tied together. I didn't know what I was seeing at first! Duke was happy as could be, running up to greet us and dragging her behind him. We were mortified. Afterwards, I went online and found out all about the bulbis glandis. Luckily we got them to detach shortly thereafter and neither got injured. And she didn't experience a false pregnancy so that was good. So now we have a somewhat funny story to gross our friends out with. |
