| Kennel club name is the name that your dog is registered under..."name" is the name you call it, or "call name"... |

In otherwords. Your Kennel Name would be something like "Nobhill". You'd name your dog Dipsy Doodle. So the registered name would be "Nohill's Dipsy Doodle and what you called or what your dog answered to was Dipsy..... My Kennel name/suffix is Mardelin. The Kennel name you use would be something meaningful to you and one that is not being used by anyone else. Any kennel name you pick would have to be verified with the UKC to make sure it isn't registered to someone else. This post should probably be under General Discussion.

| Here in the US, you cannot register a kennel name with AKC unless you show or are active in AKC events. When you fill out your application, it asks you to list all the things you have participated in. what shows, when and etc. might not be that way where you live. as far as using a name in front of your dogs name, Mary is right about that. If you register your dog online, there is a name check feature. |

| Well, have you thought about using your last name? A lot of breeder's like to do that. Me and my family use a different thing . On the FCI website there is a list of already taken names , if that may help you ! XOXO
