Are these people dumb all there dogs have breathing problems! I read a report on them and one girls dog died from it just two days after they got it these people are horrible and should be shut down!

And to think these people are making a living off of doing this.

Since she is on the UDSA breeder list she makes her really money from her mill. Clever how she has found a way to still make every last dime by calling them rescues. Sounds a lot like Jeff Dane with his rescue page doesn't it? :thumbdown

Yes, it does sound like a Jeff Dane rescue; in fact, maybe next, he'll start endorsing rescues. "This rescue has been inspected and approved by the Dane brothers."

To sell puppies... uh I mean to find rescues wonderful loving homes *while hiding the truth*

It's so he can get money for very sickly dogs, they are sold "as is".

This just makes me nauseous, how people live with themselves I will never understand :(

I think it's greed, and greed in the human heart is one of the biggest challenges facing the world today. They really believe that they are a fool not to take advantage of a "business opportunity." They love the fact they can pull one over on people with "bleeding hearts." So it's a battle between the bleeding hearts and the greeding hearts.

Yes, and one must have a very cold hard heart to be in such a business..or no heart at all! I could never imagine doing such a thing, not for any amount of money.

I hope someone will post this on Maltese Talk.

you may don’t know your puppy is not yorkie.. Silky terriers are close relatives to the yorkie. I Googled her name and it came up on the USDA breeders list. So yes she is the owner of this "rescue" and also on the USDA breeder list so what does that tell you :confused:

When I look on their black dog site, they say on there they are not 501.. So since they are not an accredited rescue how are they able to placed in the rescue section of petfinder? I just don't get how they are getting around that.

And the amount of dogs they have "placed" on there, are in the hundreds! I just don't get how people are able to get away with this kind of thing.

I doubt if anyone reports them, so many websites are handled automatically, and unless someone complains, nothing happens. I didn't even know that you had to be accredited in order to post there. Do they have a place to report ads?

When this came up the first time several of us reported it to Petfinder and nothing was ever done because they were "in the process" of filing a 501c3. The reason they can get away with this is because people are not informed and do not do their homework. She even asks for donations! :eek:

People rehome pets all the time. Some even go so far as to say they rescued dogs. Unless you are a legitimate rescue with a 501c3 then they should not call themselves a rescue.

oops..had no idea they had been a topic before. But I when I saw this thread I was looking at the 2 "cockapoos" on puppyfind and these people have come to my attention many times and they tick me off. Every time I see an ad from them I want to scream! I have always known they weren't a legal rescue or even trying too..

Now they say they must get rid of all these dogs and are almost giving them away. I posted a "review" on them telling people who they really are, (on puppyfind) but unfortunately they can remove it so they probably will.

I don't understand how they can get away with it for so long..

On petfinder? yes I believe so, I will check again but I am pretty darn sure they have to show their 501 status. At least they used to. I am going to go look now.. because you bet i will put in a complaint.

I am also marking them for fraud on puppyfind, they will remove them but they (these kind of "people") usually get back on with another account.

I know from past experience Petfinder will accept a rescue's ads w/o a 501c3 designation.

Let us know what you find out, maybe if enough people complain, they will change their policies.

Very sneaky, I'm surprised they didn't list their name as "Reputable Rescue." By the way, for those unaware, the "state licensed" is also misleading, all this means is that they have some type of license to say they can have so many dogs on the premises, it has nothing to do with their legitimacy as a rescue. This statement is probably true ,''Licensed rescue helping puppy mill dogs find homes", but extremely misleading. I mean Petland could say the same thing.

I am going to put in a complaint and show on their web site where they buy from puppy mills. Maybe if enough of us complain the will do something.

Petfinder says:
"If you are an organization without official non-profit status:

* A copy of your ADOPTION CONTRACT (not the application); AND
* A letter of reference signed by your primary veterinarian (on his/her letterhead) confirming that he/she provides medical care for the pets in your rescue and adoption program."

I have to say I am very disappointed in petfinder for this. Anyone could claim to be a rescue to sell pets with this rule..

I sent them a complaint, I am disgusted right now at petfinder for allowing these kind of people to join and post. They should only be accredited rescues imo..
