| Howdy ladies! Mama expecting, she's huge! Hey there! Glad to have found this site been lurking and reading for weeks now! My girl .Rafael. Is about 6 weeks along, only one tie on the 24th of march, tie lasted about 20 min. She is about 3 years old, normally 5-6 lbs, I got her longer bodied hoping to help her out in pregnancy so she isn't small framed, the male was 2 yrs old proven stud, and a whopping 2-3 lbs. Tiny. She is sooo huge right now I can't believe I can tell already! Am calling to schedule palpate and xrays in 2 weeks, how much are xrays running y'all? I'm a little interested to see the puppies coats turn out, because rafs lines hve had the golden yorkies, blond whichever you call them, mom was really pretty golden and tan, Raf had gold in her hips but it has silvered out and she has a cottony coat, the kind that gets wet and curls slightly... And joejoe (dad) is a black and tan silk coated. I believe if I remember right he is a parti carrier too. So well see. Any y'all have females this showing before at only 5-6 weeks. I own a mobile dog grooming business and it's amazing to see how yorkies look so different! http://i18.photobucket.com/albums/b1...x/a4b76c2a.jpg |

| She's beautiful!! I'm not a breeder and I don't know anything about it, but it sounds like her babies will be beautiful too.

| Not a breeder but I do remember seeing a post that said palating after a certain point isn't safe and you should go with an xray. Will try to find it. |

| I would recommend you hold off until around day 55-58 to have an xray done. An ultrasound although can be done earlier.. it isn't nearly as accurate at determining position and size of the puppies. It is best to wait and have an x-ray done. The x-ray cannot be done unti around 55 days or more because the bones have not calcified before then. The x-ray will give you an accurate headcount and will show position of the puppies and will determine whether they will be able to pass thru the birth canal.

Senior Yorkie Talker | I am not a breeder either but My baby is 45 days prego...I had an ultrasound done at 31 days. I noticed her showing the day after. It is good to see the beating hearts of the puppies. Very exciting. Good Luck to you....This is our first litter so i have been a sponge with info ... Cant wait to see how cute your puppies will be!

How many days is she? We are having puppies around the same time. My Gezell is 50days today. Her belly is huge also. I can feel them moving around. I feed her boiled chicken breasts with some cottage cheese mixed in. She loves it. Keep me updated.
