| litter mates my husband and I just brought our two little 9 week old yorkies home. most of the time they play and sleep but on occasion they seem to have spats that are surprisingly heated. is that normal? |

| Welcome to YT! I have 2 girls that some times will fight over treats and table food (so I always know when someone is sneaking them table food) and we have been working on the bad behavior with good results. The first it happend I was in shock then tears.....it is just heart breaking to see them brawl. The fight is always started by my alpha Diva so I watch her when we are in a setting where she has a tendancy to fight and stop it before she starts. She does know that fighting behavior is grounds for "time out" which is a new punishment and seems to be working. I would love to see pic's of your babies~

| Congrats on your new babies. The play fighting is perfectly normal. And yes it does sometimes get intense. Because of the growling, it sounds alot worse than it is. Welcome to YT!!!!!!!

| thanks Thank you I'm feeling better already. we are creating a bit of a time out by just putting them at opposite sides of the room and by the time they get close they are romping again. I put a couple of photos on the album. I have to learn to navigate through this site! |

Donating YT 30K Club Member | Congratulations!! Cali and Pixie are 2 years apart in age but from the same breeder and they fight/play all the time. It sounds like they are killing each other with the noises they make but they are just playing. Once in awhile they will go after my other girl and then they are being mean and I step in to stop them. So it sounds like your 2 are just roughhousing.
