 Exactly my point. |
Thanks, for bringing this child's age to light. I hope that this little girl is in fact story telling. What is really bothersome, if one reads her posts, she's going around giving whelping advice. I don't know if it's really possible for YT to set age guidelines on membership....I wish they could. Not all of us, and especially newbies looking for information would take the time to validate the experience of posters. |

i thought we had an age limit one time i also have to agree that some of what she posted doesnt sound like a 11 yr old. but then again the girls these days THINK they are maturing faster whatever the case may be..good info was provided |
Just went through the rules, and unless I've missed it, there is nothing mentioned on age requirements. But, if memory serves me, I've read somewhere on here that there was and that parent authorization was required if one wasn't of the required age... |

I don't know how they'd police that. I guess it would be on faith and trust. |

I don't really think this site is for kids, most of the people on here are over 18 at the least, it's all adult conversation. So you think it would be a bit boring for a kid, unless they wanted to just make trouble. |

Yes, there have been some with what appears to be personality disorders, but those are easy to spot... |

There was a young lady on here PuppyLove123, from the Miami area a few years back. She was about the OP posters age. Such a delight. Her whole focus was obtaining a yorkie, but her parents thought they were too expensive. Her aunt's yorkie ended up preggie from another dog (not yorkie). This young lady was so excited because she was going to get a pup. We went through the whole gestation period, blow by blow. We also had the joy of listening to her daily activities of school, friends, family, her life in general.....But, she was a child that just enjoyed life. |

Granted, my daughter is 9 and has been immersed in all things Yorkies since she was born. She's done some jr. handling, has forgotten more about Yorkies than some people will ever know, and could take care of these dogs *almost* just as well as I could. BUT, fact remains she is still just a child and I could not fathom her trying to advise someone on something as serious as breeding. You can be responsible and mature past your age when you are young--even to the point that you would rival some adults. (Point in case, MeganS). But it will only get you so far. |
