Although i did take the 4 hr drive to get her instead of them delivering her for a measly 65 bucks i still think i couldve poked around a lil bit more then i did. After seeing the video on channel 6 just now i realized where she did come from and not only am i ecstatic to have her be healthy but im very glad that i got her the heck outa there now when i went up there to get her i wasnt even in albany i had to go to brooklynn and when i went inside the house she was in a room right off the living room in a nice size crate so i didnt think anything about this guy owning a mill All in all im still goin to breed her probally the next time she goes into heat 2 lol NOTTT just wish i could have seen the reaction on some peoples faces ........ but on a serious note after the swelling and everything go down shes gonna go and get spayed indeed i dont think it would to be right breeding her without AKC papers and especially cause shes from a mill. Oh and whens that show in mass? im really interested in going not sure if i can make the nyc one but def wanna go to the mass one

But i definitely disagree with you yorkierose
I love pets, I have pets..but pets come from show stock, not pet stock..JMO

a pet is a pet it comes from what ever stock. When u go to a shelter u dont get a show stock you get a PET and you love it just the same as show dogs.......show dogs come from show stock.... pets come from usually irresponsible people sadly to say.....

So sad that after all everyone has said you still want to add to this problem and become a BYB. Prayers and best wishes for your female.

That is great that you finally listened to us. I felt like shouting, but I guess a good night's sleep helped you mull through thing. Thank you to the person with the link of where this precious girl came from. I am so sorry that your girl actually came from a place like that (puppymill - UGH!). At least she is home with you now and is safe. P.S. I almost did not write anything else this morning before work and just thought - I give up.

I would recommend doing that full blood panel too - you need to. I have one done on all my pups. Better safe than sorry. Plus it gives the vet an idea of how her body functions when she is well too.

Here is some great books for enjoyable reading to start with -
* The Joy of Breeding Your Own Show Dog, by Ann Seranne
*The Complete Yorkshire Terrier, by Gordon and Bennett

We will give you the hearvier stuff for reading later.

Here is the link for the NY shows: Yorkshire Terrier Club of America New York Specialty Everyone is really nice and you will have a great time!! Have fun!!

Well the vet checked her teeth about 2 weeks ago i believe. I brought her in because she was sneezing a lot and had some discharge from her nose.... turned out she caught a cold but shes better now ... but the vet told me all her milk teeth were gone and that her teeth were actually excellent but im def going to order the full blood panel

It is at the New Yorker Grand Ball Room , I believe TOPKNOT can give you the link with further details.
Also I just want to suggest that you have your vet run a full blood panel on your puppy since it is likely that she is from a puppymill, this will just make you feel alot better and you will know how she stands health wise. I know you are not planing on breeding her but its good to just have them do this prior to having her spayed anyways.. at least that is what I was told.
I think I already mentioned the NY and YTCA Specialties.

The New Yorker is Booked.....
There's some great Breeder/Exhibitors on the Eastern Seaboard and many will be there.
Here's the Link
Yorkshire Terrier Club of America New York Specialty

Tina/Topknot &
Donna/Brooklyn will be there.

One Seminar is free. I think the breeding seminar is $45.00. Let see if I can find my Premium list and it should be listed there.

It will include breeding recommendations to manage different types of genetic disorders. A second question and answer period will follow.

The seminars are presented by 2 different speakers.....one can never get enough education.

Friday is Judging Puppy Sweepstakes: Puppies are competing for best puppy, no points towards their Championship
...in other words you'll see up and coming puppies from 6 months to 18 months of age.

2 seperate clubs. I think it's the New York Club first and the National Club Follows

Saturday is the NY Yorkie Club....
Dogs Shown from 6 months & Up and the coveted title of Best Of Breed at a Specialty

Sunday is the National Club
Same as above.......But the Best of Breed is what every one dreams of getting at this show...

Oh! In case you see everyone rushing out immediately following the Friday show it's because there's another big dog show at the Pennsylvania Hotel accross the street from the Garden......which is only 2 blocks from the NYer.

You know what call the NYer there's always last minute room cancellations........

PM me and I'll provide you a list of breeders that you might want to hook with for some dog show education.
