It is time to set the record straight It takes a lot of pure gall matched with I don't know what--- You be the judge--- I sold a beautiful healthy Biewer puppy , pick of the litter, vet checked X3, shots and worming all done by the vet- to a very good friend- From the get go she wormed her and wormed her because she had a soft stool (she had 25 years experience raising Yorkies don't you know)- -even treated her several times for coccidia when the test results were negative- then decided without a vets. advice to put her on antibiotics several times because we all have been told if you have raised dogs for 25 years you definitely know more than any vet. This woman has never even whelped a litter by herself, has always had someone do it for her- She could not understand why the dog didn't gain weight or have an appetite and her main concern was she would never hit 5 lbs so she could breed her- All thru this I kept telling her she needed to let the bowel rest, she had it so irritated that of course the dog wouldn't eat- or have a normal stool- And to give it an antibiotic was a nono- But I had only been raising dogs for a year and this was my first litter--So what the crap did I know- When the dog was 13 months old, had not come into heat, my friend complained that she was now feeding the dog by hand one kibble at a time and she didn't know what she was going to do because of the weight loss and still no "heat"- How do you think she could ever eat enough to gain weight or have a healthy appetite feeding just one kibble at a time- So now she takes her to the vet who states that she has a "Juvenile Uterus" (by the way caused by malnutrition, stress and lack of excercise-The uterus recovers when put on a proper diet) and no back molars (no Xrays taken) and she should not be used for breeding- Molars come in after 6 months and this should have been noticed before 13 months had lapsed- Because we were "such good friends" she was not asking for a refund and she certainly didn't want me to take the dog back- She just wanted to buy another breeding dog at a very reduced price- And she knew I stood behind my dogs and my contract- Well the first thing I did was consult my vet for her advice- I explained in detail all that I have said ( we had no Xrays or test results) - She told me that in all probability it was all due to overmedicating and malnutrition during a very critical growing period in the dogs life that had caused the problems, especially the uterus and if the uterus was undeveloped so would the teeth be undeveloped- So I explained to my "good friend" that I do indeed stand behind my dogs for any health issue that was not caused by neglect or overmedication and she would have to assume the responsibily and I would not refund nor replace the dog she had ruined-- She was mad!!! OH, how she was mad!!! to have messed up her plans to get another dog for free or at a reduced price ( You see I have now heard from some of her "other good friends" that I was not the first one she has tried this with) So what she did first was call MY vet - She cursed her, she cried , she ranted and she raved- The threatened her that she was going to report her to the State Board of Veterinary Medicine in Tennessee for the advice she had given me- Now the dog goes into her first heat about a week after all this started- But that didn't matter- She was already on her war path Well my "good old friend" started on her smear campaign calling and telling any and every one she could corner what a bad breeder I was and that I don't stand behind my dogs- She has been ingenius at spreading the word- And because she wasn't getting enough pitty and satisfaction from her actions, true to her word she did write a very long letter to the Board of Veterinary Medicine in Tennesse and filed a report against my veterinarian for her conduct in the matter. Just that much more for her to gloat about. So for 1 year I have endured this gossip and slander produced by this "good old friend" who has done everything to ruin myreputation as a good breeder. Those who have listened to her, know who I am talking about- The dog has put on weight, made a miraculous recovey of the uterus, and low and behold the teeth have finally appeared!!! Thank you Lord, Thank you Jesus!!!!!! So now after all the dulldrum we get down to the good part!!! After 1 year she found another vet who has given this dog a clean bill of health-- The other vet must have been mistaken-- Oh MY!!! I SAID ALL ALONG THERE WAS NOTHING -- I MEAN NOTHING WRONG WITH THE DOG!!!!!!!! So now she has bred her with this vet's blessing and the litter has arrived (" Oh but we are only going to sell the as pets) I'll bet my sweet bippy it won't be disclosed to the buyers about all the problems stated by her and her vet. I declared in the beginning that the dog was healthy just neglected thru ignorance and has now made a wonderful recovery inspite of the owner- The puppies are beautiful look healthy and fat- They are quality and come from a quality pedigree- So buy her puppies as breeders or show or even as a pet. That is if you want to do business with some one of this caliber. BUYER BEWARE!!!! Her behavior is unbecoming for an officer of a club!!!!

I am sorry you have possibly been the victim of a smear campaign. Please don't dwell on it too much. I know it is painful but in all honestly in the dog business there is a lot of that that goes around. No breeder is perfect and I hate it when someone just focuses on the bad deeds or crazy things someone might do. I think we all at one time or another have had friends that we trusted that disappointed us. Just try to be the best breeder that you can and people will notice. Just try to be more careful in the future who you give breeding rights to with your puppies. We live and learn.

BamaFan When I'm looking through the forums, if I see your name as the last poster, I cant help but read it. HA To the OP...although your obviously very upset, its probably not a good idea to post it on a forum cuz when the other person stumbles across it, its gonna had fuel to the fire. I am guilty too of airing dirty laundry from time to time too..but I really try hard not to cuz when all is said and done and want to forget, you really cant forget cuz someone will go reply to that thread and bring it back up again.
