My husband and I have been to Laura's place and visited with her and her husband along with her Biewers. Her Biewers were beautiful, very sociable and clean. I did not find a puppy mill or a BYB. She is an extremely knowledable person re: the Biewer and Yorkie breed. She has been slandered here by people that has never met her or seen her place or seen any of her dogs, only from viewing a web site and because she was selling a Biewer boy for $600. As every one has been made aware she was selling this Biewer for $600 because he did not meet the Biewer standard because his eyes are blue. If someone sold a Biewer or Yorkie for a large amount of money and they didn't meet standard they would be criticized too. Isn't it time to quit slandering people when the facts aren't correct because when you don't have your facts straight that is all you have.......slander. Who wants to really be a part of that. |

Eye Color in Dogs I have not seen the site, nor seen the puppy in question...but I would bet that the extreme white spotting gene is more then likely the cause of the blue eye in this puppy. Does anyone have a picture of the puppy or a link to the site to see him? |

I am a new member and I began searching for someone I might know on here and found the awful things said about Biewer and Yorkshire Haven. I bought a male Biewer from Laura 1 1/2yrs. ago. He has excellent markings and is registered with BYA. Her home was dog friendly and everything is as she says it is. Everything was clean, and her dogs were very healthy and socialized. I understand someone asking questions before buying as I have done it also. That is one of the smartest things one can do before buying a dog. However; I don't understand the rude, slanderous comments made by some who have never seen her home or bought from her. As for her website, some of us are "do it yourselfers" and can't afford to pay for having them built by others. Also, I price by puppies according to the quality. Some are priced less than others and some are more. I always thought that was a professional approach to selling puppies. |
Hi. I have no comment. I love all creatures equally. |
I just read the breeder's section for fun and learning and have no experience with anything at all. Just love my little Charlie. Out of curiosity I looked at the web site and there is something very unsettling about it. Can't put my finger on it at all, but I just get a really bad "feeling." And I so agree with the other posters about the way the dogs look. They are so unkempt. I can't imagine anyone looking to promote their dogs allowing them to be shown like this. I would stay far away. Granted, the puppies are cute, but even in some of those pictures, they way they're held, just gives me a sick feeling. I go on feelings a lot. They never really fail me. It's only when I don't go with my original gut feeling that I find myself in trouble. |
