| [QUOTE=TammyJM;2969851] Cinnamon: 3.7 (birth weight-3.4) Cadbury: 4.8 (birth weight-4.4) Cupcake: 4.2 (birth weight-4.1) I didn't supplement in the night....but I did once before bed. Livi's milk has continued to come in. I will say that I am VERY worried over Cadbury. QUOTE]Looking at those weights I'd say you have almost nothing to worry about. Cadbury gained the most. Usually I see a .1 increase the first night but he gained .4 which is great. Just make sure you weigh all of them a few times throughout the day and that they all maintain or gain weight. If any of them drop then suppliment them all once and let mom build up milk. It looks like you won't need to though. Last edited by Golden Parti; 01-24-2010 at 08:54 AM. |

| Livi pants NONSTOP....no matter what she is doing. Should she be doing this so much? Also, I took her temp and it is at 102.3 (doesn't seem overly high, but the panting concerns me). Is this hormonal and also being in a hot room with her babies?? I started a thread in the nursery forum for my new babies. I took some more this morning and couldn't resist posting them.http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/yt-...ml#post2970108 Tammy |

| I am really not sure. We have our home thermostat set to 75...which is too hot, but we are able to turn on ceiling fan and raise a window. But we have the puppies in a half bathroom where it stays hot with the door shut. The puppies feel perfect to the touch and are sleeping peacefully, but it's hot for Livi. But, then again, she pants like this even when she is not in there. |

If the room is hotter than 75 she is probably having a hard time regulating her body temp. | |

| Donating YT 4000 Club Member | I keep my heating pad in low and under half of the whelping box only, I keep the room temperature at 75 degrees all the time. I also keep a blaket over the whelping box to keep the warm in.I also keep an area rug under the whelping box to keep the cold from the floor to touch the bottom of the box. here's a picture of my setup.
