You continue to have my attention......at least it's Friday, my short day at work, so maybe I won't miss anything. I'll be checking back in later this morning. |
Nothing from Ollie. She's waiting for Livi to go first. |
Thanks everyone!! We are leaving soon to get some breakfast....McDonald's, here we come! ;) We can't take my daughter to school until atleast 8:20 so getting Livi to the vet clinic by 9 will be pushing it since they are 30 minutes from here. I was up with Livi from 2:45-5ish...just sitting and petting her. I was hoping that something, ANYTHING, would encourage her. She was licking a lot and was biting at her legs again, but that's it and it stops as soon as she goes back to sleep. She ate very little this morning (which is not how she has been lately) but other than that, she is not showing any signs of labor progressing. :( I will let you all know something as soon as I can...just keep in mind that the test will be around 9 and I don't know how long we will be there or what will happen after the test. Please say a prayer that if she does end up needing a c-section, all goes well for her and her little ones. |

Awww Tammy Livi is just beautiful. Hoping things go good at the vet. You both will be in my thoughts as I will be checking for updates throughout the day. I have to say thank you for originally posting this thread Tammy. I have learned a lot from it the last few weeks. Im sure it will help me if and when my fifi delivers. Hoping at that time I will have this much support. Congratulations to all the new mammas. Hoping and praying all upcoming litters arrive timely and safe. Good luck Ollie and Livi. |
Good morning Tammy, i asked my son about the test and he said that is the once they use to determine if a litter is viable before a C section. that way they don't take the babies out too soon.. wishing Livi will have those babies soon, hugs, Carmen in nj |
I hope all is going well for Tammy and Livi. I hope things are going well with Ollie. Warm wishes and prayers going to everybody I almost feel guilty with the news I have, Tiffany just delivered 6 (yes, wow,6, I cant beleive it) I will post pics and updates when we are cleaned up. We're home...minus $161, but with added peace of mind. :) We got to the vet clinic about 8:40 and was then told that the vet was in surgery and then had another appointment before they could see us (even though we came in like we were told). The vet tech asked us to come back at 10:15-10:30. I have never felt 100% crazy over this clinic, but have continued to go there because he is repro. specialist. I have always wondered if he didn't rush into Livi's first c-section and there are just other things that bother me and my husband. Soooo, we got back into our car to drive a little before coming back at 10:15. I told my husband my feelings and how I did not feel comfortable with that clinic and that I wanted to take her to vet that has been treating Izzy's luxating patella...that place is WONDERFUL!!! By the way, the repro vet recommended that we do the surgery on Izzy's knees when she was 7 months old....the second one, told us to wait and to start Cosequin and to see if things change (which she is doing FABULOUS on!!!). Long story short, we drove straight to the second clinic to see if they had an opening and they did indeed let us bring her in. :) She had an exam and also an ultrasound and they all were SUPER sweet to Livi and she never one time shook and got scared like she has always done with the repro clinic...infact, she was wagging her tail at them. :) The vet said that she for sure saw/heard 3 heartbeats...if there are more, she said she could not tell, but deinfitely 3. She was grinning huge when she told how excellent they look and everything seems to be going great. She feels that Livi ovulated late and that we are still looking at a couple more days. She said the puppies don't seem to have dropped, not really and that Livi's milk has not come in...which indicated, to her, that she still had a couple more days to go. If she has not had them by Monday, she wants us to bring her back. So, yes, we spent more to find this all out (this vet is more expensive than the repro vet) but we feel better just knowing and hearing from a vet that we trust that things look excellent at this point. :) |
That's excellent news, I'm sure you feel a little better now. Of course it may be a few more nights of little sleep for you but it's peace of mind to know that the pups sound and look good. Glad it was a good experience for Livi too ... sounds like she doesn't like the other doctor. Try to take a nap when you can. Maybe tonight will be the night :p |
