Again, I hope this was not for me. I was not bashing anyone. Someone on posted and I posted my PERSONAL DEALINGS. Not hear say and I did not post anything about any other breeder (show or otherwise). This is why YT loses so many people. P.S. I have also seen hobby breeders being bashed as well. It works both ways. And, I'm not sticking up for hobby or show. I'm just making an observation.

I do get upset these little dogs are many times impulse buys as they are not purses. Ahhhh! YOu said in your first paragraph.....People buying their breeding dog without asking questions and doing research. They are in a hurry, don't want a contract, don't want anything but open registration......As another YT member has said and I'll steal her phrase "If you want a Short Cut, got to a Barber". And as we all know there are those breeders that know how to talk the talk, but don't walk the walk.........This is serious business, but some don't see it as only a business of selling puppies and they do know how to market them.....a pretty website.....Championed sired, this pedigree and that pedigree (pedigree hunters).

No it wasnt directed at you but some hobby breeders and it wasnt even on this thread but many other ones. I am sorry you thought it was directed at you and if you had bad dealings with a particular show breeder I dont blame you for being upset

While reputable breeder / exhibitors do not sit ring side discussing the breeding practice of other exhibitors, of course it is discussed privately and when someone ask for a recommendation, they simply refer the person to another breeder whom they know practices good responsible breeding. Anyone who actually knows anything about those "dog show people", know what the truth is and to those that don't know, it would be well worth their time to find more before trying to critize. No, show breeders can't and won't produce enough puppies forall the loving homes that want a Yorkie. That's not what they are about. There will always be a place for reputable home, hobby breeders that breed to standard and for health... it's just finding one out of the multitude of not so good, back yard breeders, puppy millers and brokers out there. That's a problem. JMO

Sorry if I started anything, my friend knows I am a member with YT and some other forums, I think she was just really wanting to know if I have seen any of their babie's on line here or if she belong to the forum.. she does not, nor ever has owned a yorkie so I think she was just curious... I told her to go to ycta, akc, breeders in her area where she can see the puppies, sire's and dam's and since she had so many questions they could help her... I have always said in any of my posts on here " I have a great respect for the knowledge, sweat and tears, and the information they offer whether it be for simple info or emergencys!!"

I know this thread is OLD and got a little off topic and heated back when it was fresh, but as someone who was doing research a couple of months ago and had stumbled upon it, I thought I'd post some information RE: OP - does anyone know Stephanie Barnes? in case anyone else out there is doing research on Stephanie Barnes / Destiny's...

One of Stephanie's puppy's recently joined our family and I also feel like we've gotten to join Stephanie's family. Stephanie Barnes is amazing and is the perfect example of what you want in a reputable breeder. From our first interaction she made me feel so much more educated and confident and I can't say how thankful I am to have her enter my life. If anyone wants to know more, feel free to PM me and I'd be happy to chat. I am a HUGE Stephanie fan!
