Puppy Watch? Hello again! So my friend's dog is on her 61st day...her temp has been low since this morning for sure...between 97.5 down to 96.5... Last night it was around 99. She has been licking herself alot, and seems restless, but is staying in her whelping box. She repositions herself alot. She also is acting nauseated. She hasn't thrown up, but is acting like she wants to. How close do you think we are? thanks! I'm trying to decide if I should head over there now or wait till we get closer. We are about 15-20 min. apart. Deb

bailey Rae Hey deb. Just thought i'd also put up here that it looks as though she is also breathing hard, BUT she's not panting yet. So i dont know if that means anything other than it's just hard for her to breath! lol....

Back home again...I think we have till morning at least. When I got there Bailey jumped up and came and visited me. No panting, no different behavior. So we are going to try to get some sleep tonight. Gina will sleep in the room with Bailey, on the floor next to the pen. Perhaps I'll get a middle of the night call, but hopefully we have till morning. Thanks all. I will keep you posted. deb
