Well I have some good news! Angel has started producing milk again. However, little boy seems reluctant to latch on. He seems to be doing well and we have decided that should he make it, we are going to keep him

He will stay un-named for now as I do not want to get too attached just yet, but *touch wood* everything is looking up.

So sorry to hear of your loss. It was a learning experience and I am sure yiou will be wiser and better prepared the next time.

They can go so fast when they are that small. I weigh mine twice a day and if they are not gaining I get right on it. I get ujp every two hours to sit with them at night to make sure they are not getting pushed off.

Hi. I was wondering - did the Vet give this little guy an antibiotic or anything? Are you supplement feeding him? I am praying for your boy. Please let us know how he is doing.

His body is cold to the touch but I cant get anywhere right now as everywhere nearby will be closed and the nearest emergency vets is about an hour away. I read the article on the glucose solution but im not too sure what corn syrup is

If you eat pancakes chances are you are using corn suryp ,If you cant get him to a vet which is the suggestion,See if a neighbor has some syrup and please take him from mama and start feeding him ,Keep him close to you and warm . Good luck let us know how puppy is doing

Hey there. The vet gave my lil boy some fluids and they gave us some milk formula which has supplements and things in it and it helps to keep him hydrated and stuff which seems to be much better than the petshop stuff. He is very active and should hopefully open his eyes very soon! Mum still likes to be nearby so with luck we may get him suckling from her again, but I am still feeding him every 2 hours or so (or when he asks for it!) none-the-less.

Angel seems to be much better. The vet gave her a couple of calcium injections under the skin as she wasn't bad enough to need it straight in to her blood stream. She is also on anti-biotics twice daily and her belly is looking much better! As I said before, she has also started to produce milk again so something must be working!!

That's great news. I hope you get your little one nursing again soon. I lost one of my newborns in August, so I know how much it hurts. I can't imagine the pain you have gone thru. I'm praying for you.

I'm afraid there is a very cruel ending to this story.

My lil boy died just a couple of hours ago out of nowhere. He didn't cry like the others. He looked so healthy and I really thought he would make it. I can't explain how sad I feel

Everyone I know keeps telling me I did everything I could but somewhere I feel like I should have done something more.

I'm sorry again that I cannot bring good news.

I'm so very sorry to hear this. It is heartbreaking to endure. From your posts, it sounds like it may have been toxic milk syndrome.

I am so sorry you lost all of the babies... I was keeping my hopes up for the last little guy.

You did all you could... sometimes "stuff" happens as a result of breeding that you have no control over.

Oh I am so sorry to read this thread and all the posts. I lost three out of 4 and it was so heartbreaking. Even after a post mortum we got no answers.. mommy was fine and all was good until tails were docked. It happened so so fast. sending some big hugs to you..
