Oh yes all three pups were weighed in at 4oz.Mom gained 1+ lb over the pregnancy so another 4oz for the placentas, weight gain and misc, seems about right to me.

I only let the mom eat one placenta - too many can make her sick! I just show the mom a lot of attention petting her and telling her how wonderful she is to divert her attention from the placenta long enough for me to dispose of it. I hate those short cords - that can be a tricky situation!

No kidding, right?!? My boyfriend (and our preggo dog is more attached to him, btw) just wants to standby and watch when Maya has her pups-he's such a wuss. I'll be doing all of the hardwork here!
