| injection site infection anyone ever experienced a small roundish ring in the same spot as an injection. Had a client take a puppy (well yr old) in for annuals and two days later (yesterday), she noticed a small circular area that almost looks like a wound... her vet is not open today, she contacted me... I've examined the puppy as there are no wounds, not sign of skin irritation, nothing but the location of the injection. |

| I'll have to see what I can find... I have given vaccinations for years and have never seen anything remotely like this.... I don't administer rabies as I am not licenced to do so, but have never had any of my dogs have such a reaction to yearly booster... It is odd... I'll read up on the suggestions... I'm just really stumped! |

| I have had a few to do this too. They have a small hard knot for a while and also have lost hair in the area of the shot site. I always telll the Vet not to give shots to close to the area where the hair parts on the back. Last edited by yorkiegirl2; 10-17-2009 at 04:21 PM. |

| Even people can have reactions like this. It is not uncommon but it needs to be supervised, if it gets worse it will need vet attention.
