| Effects of pregnancy/puppies I realize that some of the effects of pregnancy/puppies will last a lifetime. In general how long does it take for the momma to "return" to normal prepregnancy state? I gave Bella MIa her bath yesterday and it seems as if she is still "blowing" her coat. There are no other changes with her. She is happy with her puppies. She LOVES to play with them. She is eating her dry kibble with no problem. I did stop the calcium as she is no longer producing milk that I can see. She does "pacify" the puppies about once a day for two minutes if that. Does anyone have a list of what the effects of pregnancy and puppies on a mom are? Thanks for the info!

| Based on my experience, my females always pretty much return to normal once the pups are weaned. The pups can take a tole on the coat but that is to be expected. Females do generally get broader and a little heavier once they have a litter. |
