| Puppy Watch - I think Hey everyone. As you know Sammie, my Shih-Tzu, is pregnant and is due on the 28th, Friday. I took her temperature yesterday morning and it was 99.5, well this morning she is at 98.3. She's not restless yet, no panting or digging but is doing a lot of licking down there. I'm keeping an eye on her. Last time she had to have a c-section, but this pregnancy looks and feels a little different to me. Please bear with me, as I am nervous about this one. I was going to take her tomorrow morning for x-rays, but maybe it might be too late for that. I will keep everyone updated. |

| We now have shivering, but no digging or pushing. She's looking at me like what's going on mom? |

Living My Yorkie Dream Donating Member | Woohoo, sounds like she is on her way! As you may know, Halle had her pup Wednesday and her early labor started with the nesting and licking; about 12 hours before the hard contractions started. She didn't do too much of the shivering, I just noticed maybe a tiny bit maybe mid-way into labor or the very beginning of the harder contractions. In any case, sounds like Sammie is surely in labor. I wish she and you the very best & will pray that it will be a trouble free whelp! Keep us posted.

| Thanks so much for the well wishes. Right now, Sammie is laying down and is resting. I think she might be waiting for the house to get quite. I have sent the DH and the kids out for haircuts. That will give us a little peace and quite. The sad part is that I was suppose to go to my son's school orientation this afternoon, but I think that I am just going to let DH take him. I will keep you updated as the day goes on. I just pray that we don't need an emergency c-section this time. I have everything ready in the event that we do though. Thanks everyone. |

Living My Yorkie Dream Donating Member | Do you know how many puppies she is having? What was the reason for the c-section last time?

| Last time she needed a c-section, I believe was my fault. She never had contractions, just panting and digging. I gave her calicum too much in pregnancy which made her not contract. I have said previously if she needs one this time, I will have her spayed. I don't want her to have to go through it again. The vet said that she should be able to deliver okay. I don't know how many she is going to have because we were going in the morning for the x-ray. |

I took it at 1:45 and it was 98.0 I would say that she is definitely in the beginning stages of labor. | |

| Thanks so much for the help. I will post pics as soon as they are born. Right now, while she's resting, I am desperately trying to but with no luck. I'm excited, nervous and have all these emotions at the same time. I don't want her to know that though. I have everything ready for the big event. I just pray that everything goes right. I will check back in a bit and let you know if anything has changed. |
