It went ok, he said she seems to be fine despite the long night of contractions and he didn't have many guesses as to why the puppy wouldn't take a breath at birth. He said the placenta could have abrupted from the uterine horn before the pup was born, but I don't know about that, since I could feel him kicking just minutes before his birth. :( And there wasn\'t any green/black discharge until after he was born. I guess I\'ll never know. Is there any truth to the statement that first time litters have a lower survival rate than subsequent litters? That is what my vet told me but I don\'t see how or why that would be.. |
Elyse, I\'m so so sorry for your loss :(, but very happy to hear Roxie is doing well. I feel so bad I was not any help to you last night but I really have no experience in this area , I\'m sorry! I wish you both well! |
Oh Roxie, I am so sorry for your loss. I wish I could have been there for you. You and your little girl are in my prayers. Theresa |
I just read this and I\'m so sorry. I lost a puppy on August 2nd. She lived for three days and then she died. I was heartbroken and I still wonder if there was something more I could have done. I hope Roxie is doing better today. I read your other thread and you think she has a fever. Good luck. I hope everything works out ok for you. |
