The ctx are getting worse, she is being pretty vocal when they hit. Still not seeing anything come out though..

She is asleep now. I called my friend and she said it still sounds like Roxie is in the first stage of labor and it can last for like 6-12 hours! Oh boy.

Now she's awake and screaming with the contractions. I hate hearing her cry! And the vet is a good 40 minutes away.. should I just take her in? I wonder if they'll let us stay and just be monitored until she whelps or until she needs intervention. Probably not since it's 3:30 am. They'll just want to do a c section and get us out of there.

I'll be back later, I think I'll give it another hour and see what happens.

I think that you should do what you feel is best. If you're signing off for a bit, take care, you and Roxie. Give us an update later on. Keep hanging in there, I'm sure everything will be fine.

Thank you, I am headed over to my friend's house now with Roxie because she is very knowledgeable with stuff like this, plus she says she has a vet friend she could call that is nearby. I will try to update from my phone if possible

We just got back home- my friend thinks she still has a few hours to go. There's no sign of the puppy coming, no bulge, nothing! I didn't think it would take this long. Roxie's back legs are acting weird too. With each contraction, her right leg goes limp and drags behind her. Maybe a compressed nerve?

My regular vet's office opens in a couple of hours so I'll hold out until then and bring her in. She still doesn't seem to be in distress. Rests between the ctx. No panting or digging yet. I just feel weird about this whole situation and I feel like she'll end up with a section. :(

I\'m going upstairs to rest with her, I\'ll post if anything changes
