| Orphaned month old yorkies Sadly our little princess Pooh passed away just outside the emergency vets office on the first of this month. She left behind daddy "Charlie" 7 month old "Destiny" and 4 one month old puppies. All the puppies are happy and healthy and doing fine. I was just looking for some advice on cleaning them. They are pretty smelly. I have tried a damp wash cloth but that was useless except for cleaning their paws. any advice would be greatly appreciated so I can get them clean to keep them healthy. |

| You could try baby wipes. Or just keep doing the wash cloth. |

| I am so sorry of your loss. What happened to her? Like the above poster said, a wash cloth or baby wipe will do fine. I don't think you are suppose to bath them until after their first shots.

| We are not really sure. I was out of town with my mother and my husband called early evening to say that she was acting strange. He called the vet and at that time she was sleeping and the vet said just to keep an eye on her. A few hours later he rushed her to the emergency vet and she died in the parking lot. She had a seisure but even the vet does not know what caused it and was stumped that she declined so quickly. Thanks for the advice I will try the baby wipes |

| Thank you Tammy Luckily I have this week off of work to take care of them and feed them. I go back Monday but only work through Thursday so my mom will probably watch them 4 days a week. |

| So sorry for your loss, I'll be saying a little prayer for strength to take over being a surrogate mom. Good luck with them.

| Sorry about your loss. At the vet's I worked for(she raises yorkies), we bathed them at that age with mycodex shampoo--it's not labeled for that young, but she said that it's mild enough and we've never had any reactions to it(I worked there for 3 years). We'd blow them dry and keep them warm afterwards, but they do fine. |
