| Can I bathe 6 week old puppies?? So Bella no longer wants to clean up puppie poop since they are eating kibble now. Who can blame her? This morning my sweet little puppies all decided to poop at the same time and then wrestle right on the pee pad where most of the poop was. EWWWWWW GROSSSSS is all I can say I now have 5 puppies covered in poo and want to give them all baths. I have wiped them down with wet wash cloths but I feel like they need real baths. Can I give them a full blown bath? If so can I use Bella's Bio groom shampoo and should I blow dry them afterwards? If not what can I do to clean up my little gang?

| We did--we used mycodex shampoo. It isn't labeled for that young , but the vet(the breeder)--said it was mild enough and we never had a problem. I know we've bathed as early as 4 weeks. |

| I am currently raising Livi's one puppy ("S'mores") and he has had a few baths. He is only 7 weeks old today but boy does he get himself messy! I do not blow dry him, though....we wrap him snuggly in a heavy towel or blankie and either me or my husband snuggle him tight until he is dry. I use Minksheen on him and so far he has been just fine after his baths. Tammy Last edited by TammyJM; 08-07-2009 at 08:02 AM. |

| I usually start bathing somewhere around 4 weeks if they need it. They can regulate their body temperature by then. However, I still like to keep them warm. So I warm a towel in the dryer while I'm bathing them and they get wrapped up in it as soon as they are done. Then I rub them down good to get rid of extra moisture, then blow dry.

| We'd blow dry too--I think it's good for them to get used to the noise of the dryer. |

| I do not know if it is the kibble or what but these little puppies are going nuts with energy now. One of them scratches at the food bowl just like momma, one of them likes to put his front paws in it, the dry kibble is everywhere. After eating this am they are extremely hyper running, jumping, BOUNCING everywhere. Bella Mia and I are worn out from just watching. Clean up this am has been a riot and not easy all by ourseleves as the pupppies are not cooperating with us. Bella Mia has tried to keep the pups in line for me but she is being easily over run by hyper puppies...LOL Now they have crashed out in a puppy pile...sooo cute I just love them! Guess I will wait till they wake up before attempting bathing 5 puppies.
