Story Book Yorkies
 
Hello everyone. I had another question: has anyone ever heard of Story Book Yorkies? Their site is: storybookyorkies.com. I figured this would get a bit more views than the one I asked on another thread. Does anyone have any puppies from them? Thanks for the help.

her dogs are really beautiful. That female for sale is the cutest little thing. I love her dark coloring too

Her guarantee does not have a length of time her pups are covered for. Just that you have to have them checked by a vet within 72 hours.

She states that she breeds for show dogs, however has no Champions with the Story Book suffix on them.

Yes they are dark, their faces haven't cleared as they should have by this age. This is a sign of being soft coated.

Wow. Soft coated means that they're not silky coats, right? If that is the case, then I do not want a soft coated puppy. The silky coat is one of my requirements. Thanks for the informatin.

I emailed her to ask about the guarantee, but she hasn't replied to my email yet. I'll let you know what she says as soon as I hear from her.

I think she, or someone else is finishing a dog, but it's not from her breeding. I guess if the price was a little lower, having the puppy not be champion sired, etc. wouldn't be so bad. But the price is a little higher for a puppy not from show lines. Thanks again for the information.

Lake Buena Vista is known for producing soft coated dogs. Good luck in your search.

I guess what I'm saying is that you shouldn't be advertising yourself as a show breeder, if you haven't finished dogs.

A puppy being Championed sired or, but sold as a pet should not reflect any difference in price. The only difference in price should be if you're selling a dog as a show dog.

Is someone is an approved home, is it necessary to give a deposit? That is like I said compleately up to the indenvinal. It is perfectly fine with me if one just wants to check back with me of course! Or can a future buyer just wait and see what is available? Remember you buy your breeder first, then your puppy. You are buying a relationship and should have all faith and trust in your breeder.

She states that she guarantees her pups for a year....however, that should be stated in writing.

She is not someone that i would buy from although she lives just minutes away, if you ask to many questions you will see her back away, I just seen 1 of her pups recently that she sold for $500.

If you scrutinize her website and know what you're looking at and familiar with the show dog world, you can pretty much tell she is not what she is advertising.

betty where does she live? Not that I am in the market but I luv, luv, luv my dark lake Beuna Vista dog and BTW, all Lake Buena Vista dogs are not soft coated to whomever posted that.

help me out guys. I looked at the website and couldn't find any pedigrees. where did you find info on them being Lake Buena Vista/ i also noticed she has a Anna Stringer dog. Unless that dog is a reject, she paid a pretty penny for it!!!!

Dee she lives just out of Hopkinsville but you will find she uses different names of
towns when she advertises on pupfind, pupcity or any other sites. but she has a Hopkinsville prefix

Thank you for the information. It seems like she's a great breeder, since she says she keeps the puppies until they're 7 months and then she said she wanted me to call her so she could talk to me personally. She did come off a bit harsh when she told me that. But I guess the wording was just a bit wrong.

How is it that one of her puppies was only $500, when that little girl I was looking at was $2500?

What is your timeline to buy a puppy and are you specifically looking for a little girl? How do you propose to get the puppy to mexico? I am asking because this breeder is in Ky. these answers would open up some possibilities for you.

Hi. I was looking at getting a puppy sometime next year. Since I am in Mexico, it does make things a bit more difficult. I usually go home for spring break, which is whenever Easter is. I also go home during the summer and during the winter for 4-5 weeks. So if a puppy was available during that time, then it would be shipped to California, which is where I spend my vacation with my family. That's why I'm flexible with the date. Although if it runs into 2011, then I'll be back in the States permanently by then.

Unfortunately, I do want a little girl. That is where I'm not flexible. :p It's just that I love to dress up my baby and I want another little girl to dress up. :D

Thank you. You are so sweet. I'm attaching a picture of my puppy's wardrobe so you can see what I mean. :D And I know that doesn't compare to some other YTer's puppie's closets. :D

Mary, I don't know what the connection is but I found Anna Stringer's name on the website. She is partners with Stephanie Barnes. They own/show under the following kennels names.

Stringer's - Anna Stringer
Destiny's - co-owners
Annstef's - co-owners

They have about 16 dogs that showed well this past year.

Anna Stringer is one of the top exhibitors. She is also a YTCA member, (I think) Really surprised mary doesn't know her of her. of course, I never knew any of the people that show in the west either until recently.

No doubt what the 'connection' is, is that she bought a show prospect from Anna, failed to show it,or champion it per Anna's contract in a certain amount of time and Anna got it back. That's what her contract states. if you fail to finish the dog within a certain period of time, Anna will take it back and either show it continuing to co-own or turn it over to a handler and you pay the bill. She has very strict contracts. What blows my mind is how in the world Anna Stringer came to sell this person a dog.

Yes, it looks like the breeder is showing this dog to it's Championship but he'll be in Storybook's breeding program. :confused::confused::confused:

Dee, you know it looks like a lot of the old time show/breeders are mentoring or at least letting people purchase some their CH dogs. I thinks it's a way to continue their lines. Most of them are getting on in age and it sure would be a shame if their fabulous lines ceased to exist. I just hope that they're using good judgement on those that they're entrusting their lines to.

I do know of her, and have seen her. I have never met her .
