| All the panting has me confused too because my females don't usually start panting unless they are in labor. Have you been giving her any Nutri-cal? Is the room she is in warm? There is not much you can do except wait. I know this has to be stressing you out. I just pray you have a good outcome. |

| just checking in and no pups yet. I got tired of the vet giving me different information so I went to the VCA Animal Hospital and she was given another xray and this time a ultrasound. She was panting when we got there but the doctors said that it was because she hasn't eaten much and because the walk that I took her on was probably too much for her. The doctors said that she appear to be just going through the first stage of labor . They were really caring and concerened for her. They gave her some nutri-cal and she perked up a bit. They also told me to give her a little pedialyte in her water. Overall the babies look fine and are very active with strong heartbeats. They said that first timers can sometimes go as far as 65 days. Now that I am back home getting her to eat is the problem. She will take yogurt but is there anything else I can give her so I don't have a repeat incident. I thank everyone for the comments and feedback to my questions. I am glad that I took her to the hospital to be checked out. I feel much better and thank everyone for being concerened about Heav'ne. |

You poor thing, and that poor mama! When Cassie wouldn't eat anything, I offered her some chicken broth and she sucked it down! It's not like solid food, but at least it's something. Maybe you could also soak her food with some broth? | |

My Tiny Treasures Donating Member | They love boiled chicken breast, scrambled eggs, boiled hamburger and rice....another thing I have found, although its the worst food out there, in a pinch, mine never turn down craser puppy canned food. Good luck! Quote:
