she is still licking hereself and trying to look at her rear end which I don't understand. Tried to feed her a little cottage cheese this morning and she refused. I took her out in the yard for a potty break but she just stood there. I woke up to the whelping box being a complete mess with the paper shredded to millons of peices. She just keeps staring at me when I call her name instead of coming to me. Her tail is in the air and when I tried to take temp she sat on her bottom. I will keep you posted as I will update her condition every hour

Good afternoon I am updating on Heav'ne progress. She is now digging more and just laying around on the couch. She keeps licking her vulva which looks like it has gotten much bigger. Her temp is 99.2 as of 1:30 pm. Looks like she may have a few more days.

My girl's temp. was 99-ish the day before the puppies were born. It's getting close!:rolleyes:

could I have missed her mucus lug? She cleans herself to well. She is still Panting off and on a little and laying on her side, stretching almost like she cant get comfortable. She barley ate today. I am going to try to feed her a little and take her temp again.

Well, as it's been said many times, these girls can fool you with the temp thing, but everything you are saying leads me to believe she's in early labor. The staring at you, licking her vulva, not getting comfortable, not eating.......etc. I would be surprised and amazed if she went "a few more days" from all you are describing. Maybe her "stretching" is actually contractions she's feeling. Can you see them, or lay your hand on her & see if you can feel them. Good luck to you and I will be watching this thread closely for the rest of the evening.

My girl cleaned herself so well, I never saw the plug either, and she broke the rules on the temp things too.:p

I can feel the puppies really low in her stomach. Her temp is now 98.0 and I think that I am done with the whole temp thing because she growled when I last took it and she jumped for the first time. She is just resting and I am laying on the floor beside her. She went under the bed today and was going crazy in such a small space like flipping from stomach to her back really fast just going crazy so i called her and put her in her whelping box which is insde of her playpen. she also slid across the floor sliding her butt today.

I'm sorry; I just had to chuckle, b/c I can just see her lying there, just waiting to be done with it all, and thinking, "I'm going to bite your hand off if you come at me with that thing again!":eek:

I hope it's soon - for both your sakes!;)

Yep, I'd say she's a little to close to being ready for something to come out of her to want you trying to put something into her. Poor baby, it does sound like she is soooooo close. Keep her in that pen......do NOT let her get under the bed.......or any furniture. It wouldn't be good for her to start whelping underneath something and not want to come out. Continued good luck to you and the soon to be mama.

She is still very restless moving from place to place in her pen trying to get comfortable. She still want eat or drink and when i took her outside to use the bathroom she wouldn't. She is still licking herself. I don't know if her temp dropped anymore because she wont let me take it so I guess no more temp checking tonight. I think she will be whelping by the weekend.

Today is day 60 and maybe we will go all the way to day 63. She is however looking at me very strange almost like she is daydreaming. I will update around noon.

Oh gosh, from all you've described I thought she was at her due date & ready to go. Only day 60???? I guess she could go a few more days.......but........the weekend is here, the vet's will be closed, and you know how these babies LOVE to arrive during the nights and on weekends. Good luck........I'll continue watching.

My girl had them on day 59, so depending on when she ovulated - don't let the calendar fool you - it's totally possible for her to have them at any time. I'll pray for some healthy Friday puppies!!;)

Exciting! I read your story yesterday and have been checking back off and on since than to hear Heav'ne progress. She's a gorgeous girl and I'm sure her pups will be just as gorgeous :)

Just checking in this evening. I think we may have contractions. When she is laying still her body starts to shake or tremble like every so often. She dragged a blanket from her whelping box to a corner by my bed and she is just laying there licking herself. She was pacing the floor about a hour ago which woke me up because she kept going under my bed and then back to her whelping box but now she has retired to a blanket in the corner of my bedroom. At 1:00 pm her temp was back up to 99.5 and now at 3:30 it's 98.7. She is drinking plenty of water with ice in it because that's the only way my yorkies will drink water. I need to keep myself busy because I am driving myself nuts watching her every move. I think I will do some laundry now.

checking in again. Heav'ne has now been panting very hard for the pass 2 hours. I assumed that the first stage of labor started yesterday because she did the same thing but now it's just a lot harder. She growls when anyone comes into my bedroom even my husband. I am laying in her pen with her and she wont lewt me move. I thought the first stage only last 6-12 hours.
