Could we be close? heeeeheeeheeee Bella is NOT LEAVING me for a second! I now know what dropping puppies looks like I think...all the puppies seem to be ALOT lower in her abdomen where yesterday they were still under her ribs, she has clear mucos, she keeps thrusting her rear end up in the air even from sound sleep, speaking of sleep she has been asleep most of the day according to the report from big brother she only wakes if she thinks she is being left or to thrust her rear up, pups are VERY active....temps 97.6, 97.8 and now 98.2. Okay for the bad news my internet drops off after 8pm so if anyone out there is willing to pm me and give emergency numbers and times NOT to call I would greatly appreciate it!! I promise NOT to call unless I am having a true emergency! |
Wow............I'd say you're VERY close! Is she at her due date? How many pups is she having? With those low temps and that thrusting of the rear you talk about (almost sounds like she's got some contractions going on or pushing????), I'd say she's on her way. Let's hope she starts whelping before the 8 oclock hour. Where are you at......what time is it where you are? I'd PM you my number, but I've only had one litter so far (and hopefully one in the works), so I wouldn't be the best choice for emergency help. But I'm here for moral support........geez, guess that means if it goes past 8, we won't know anything til tomorrow!!??!! Good luck to you. Okay, just checked your earlier thread.......5 puppies; I hope she gets started soon. |

She is due thursday July 2. Today is 60 days. She also will not eat. She has laid back down on my lap and is sleeping now. She tries to hide under neath my arm when she wakes up or goes to big brother with the "help me" look then back to my lap. Thanks for the support! |

She's having contractions now. Do the appear strong and when did they start. |

Nah, fast asleep does not mean a false alarm, she's just getting herself plenty of rest for the job at hand. Surely it will be tonight! |

It just started when I posted this new thread. Her tummy goes rigid about 30 seconds or so then a lot of puppy movement then she sticks her butt up or stiffens her legs and then nothing she goes back to sleep. This has happened 3 times. Right now she is asleep on her back all four paws up and if I stop rubbing she opens her eyes and looks pitiful! She does have a bit of a little nasal drip she did not have this am. |
PS her vagina seems to be still soooo little |

She wanted to go outside. She pooped normal color and texture but it was a very skinny poop. I will count the contractions. She did go into her whelping box laid down but came back out and now is with me. |
Ooooo, I notice that you are both in California...........anywhere in close proximity to each other? Wouldn't THAT be nice! :) So, I can never remember..........is it earlier or later on the west coast than it is here in central time? Well wait, if it was later, you wouldn't be online any more would you.........cuz it would be almost 8:30????? So you'll be here for another hour or so?? |
and now we have nesting with Ducky (suffed animal she took to the box)Daddys home! |

No she's in Northern California, I thought she was in Woodland Hills, which would have been close enough for me to drive there. |
We live in Northern Ca. It is 5:35 pm here so we have a couple hours on line. It is the only bad thing about country living (losing the internet)otherwise it is new to me and I love it. |

I had one litter, almost 2 years ago. I actually used Mardelin's recipies for whelping pudding and another recipie she had to give mom right after she finished whelping the pups. So the one I gave to her as directed (after whelping....she lapped it up like there was no tomorrow!) but the whelping pudding itself was given with her meals; I think a tablespoon or two added to her food. I've learned alot since that first time. If mom becomes tired during whelping I've read ice cream or Cal-Sorb helps. |

Normally though, once the contractions start coming strong, my girls will vomit. But they will still take more from a spoon. |
Ok I will make it so I can be prepared. BF predicts the pups will be born at 12:19am;) like he knows!!! Thanks! |
