My Gosh! Can I take my 2 girls to him lay his hand on them and tell me, how many and what they are.....ask him if girls are gonna have an easy whelp

He says easy and fast done by 3 something in the am!! If he actually guesses right then I will send him your way to "predict" for you! He actually is a great bf and very supportive of anything Bella related.

I appreciate all your help and incase I lose you soon if you dont hear from me tonite all is well. I will post what is going on the second the internet is up in the am useually around 6am. Again thank you, I feel confident I can do this especially now that I have an emergency phone #! Thanks again!

Of course I have surgical gloves and ky (it is generic KY though). I have everything I ever heard mentioned the CALSORB has NOT arrived. I went to our only two pet stores and they dont carry it at one and the other thinks they do but they are out.

I believe earlier it was said the more the merrier. I like to hear everyones opinions and advice so I can make my own opinions. You ALL are wonderful for caring enough to help all us first time Mommies. I have much respect and appreciation for anyone who posts at all on these threads.

Ok! just asking, cause you at times have to feather them inbetween and/or dilate.

Didn't you say you're a nurse? I was in my previous life, in my twenties.

Nope, stick around....just that NutriCal doesn't absorb as fast as NutriDrops, and with a big litter (5) Calsorb will work even better, but she'll have to back it up with NutriCal, just to help her get the taste out of her mouth.

I WISH I was a nurse. I started out to become an emergency Nurse ended up as an Emergency Medical Technician, then moved to Certified Clinical Hemodialysis Technician and now I am the Chief Bio Med Technician I still care for patients a lot of the time. I am turning 40 in OCT this year :(.

Yep! Kind of like tickling....if she lags behind, feathering can start the contractions again. You can go up a bit further, baby doesn't have to be being born. Now, at times you may have to dilate to assist in a pup passing.

I know it's almost time for you to go off line. If I fall asleep, I've asked hubby to wake me if you should call.

yes I keep Calsorb on hand as well.

Have you tried the new Calcium product from Revival? Revival Animal Health - Oral Cal Plus #160-210 Has been said to be more palatable but I do not know if it is as effective.

Ok, but don't take the pups.

I usually keep it on hand myself, just in case she starts lagging behind, I'll only give it to her after the first pup has been born and there is too much time inbetween.

Okay breeders how much weight do they gain during a normal pregnancy, I think we on the light side. Shyloh gained 9oz total......But we are suppose to have one pup.

Anywhere from 1 to 2 pounds. Dependent on the size of the litter how big the pups are or how much of a glutton she's been. My girls tend not to eat as much during the last couple of weeks, which my mentor says is very normal, it's mother natures way of keeping the pups from growing too big.

Mine gained about one pound, and she had two puppies. They weighed 5.1 and 5.2 oz. Today at 16 days they are piggies, weighing 16.9 oz. and 14.9 oz.

I have been quite concerned about Shyloh not eating. She wouldn't touch her Ukanuba dry. But she would eat cooked chicken, cottage cheese, and Fosters and Smith canned. But as I run my hand down her back she feels lean. Today I cooked a scrambled egg with boiled chicken in it. She had chicken again at dinner. So She will eat....:animal36

If she feels lean when you run your hand down her back, it's because the babies have dropped and ready to travel down the birth canal. Can you see her spine?

Not really see it but I can feel it. She just feels thinner than normal. She is not eating today. Not even boiled chicken, she has a discharge (thick clear with slight hint of yellow) She just sleeps all the time, got up to pee then right back to sleep. She wimpers if I try to move her. I just gave her some nutracal since she is not eating. Hope we have some serious progress soon. Assuming she conceived 3 days after the tie, we would be on day 63 today. It is 66 days since the tie. Its been a long week.

I couldn't take any longer, I was so worried I ran around corner to my Vet and had her checked. Temp was 97.8 Yea baby.......Puppy is down and ready!!WooHoo.....He said she is dialating......:D:D:D:D:D Finally some good news. She is nesting as I type.........:p:p:p
