| Her stomach is very soft, her breathing is not labored but normal, she's been pretty active since delivering the last one. What I read about the discharge was possible premature separated placenta which would have been from the first pup. The vet told me that had she delivered a still born she COULD have "disposed" of it all. I wasn't worried after talking to them this afternoon but now you've got me worried again. I'll keep you posted...

| I know you're not trying to make me worry. Just be certain that if I don't pack her up tonight and make a trip to the out of town vet she will definitely be at the vet's office in the morning!! She just got through eating a little dinner, her first food and water since yesterday so I feel like that's a good sign, don't you think?

| It sounds good, but then again, I'm not a vet. I would watch her and be at their office as soon as they opened the doors in the morning. |

Your defiantly need to get a clean out shot. And keep a close eye on her temp, if she start running one then you will need to put her on antibiotics. I had a girl that did the same thing. But, she started the green/black discharge about 1 week prior to whelping. The retain placenta or unborn pup setup an infect and damaged one of her horns. The Vet said he didn't know if she would be able to get pregnant again. But if she did she should be able to carry the pups with no problem. The next time she was breed she only had one pup. There was no since in putting her through another pregnancy for just one pup. I had her spayed. | |
