I can't imagine what you're going through...so glad to hear that the baby boy is doing ok. As long as he's gaining weight everyday, he should be ok. There's alot of caring people on here that's willing to help if you need it. Please keep us posted. Again, I'm so very sorry for your loss.

Yes, this is VERY hard for my family and me, but I knew going into breeding all the things that can go wrong.

I just can't stop thinking about her, she is gone..

Oh' and sorry if I didn't state it clearly but she only had one baby in her, the little boy that survived.

The little boy is still thriving , he moves all over the place, he weighed 3.1 ounces at birth (6/2) and is now 3.3 ounces today.

I have a question, my vet gave me some milk for him and he seems to be doing well on it, but was wondering if anyone else knew any good substitute milk for newborns. Maybe one I can make?? I'll try to do a search and maybe start a new thread.

There are several different formulas out there but I am not really sure it would be wise to switch right now if he is doing well on the vets formula. I have never had to totally hand raise a newborn so I think you would do best getting advise from those that have successfully done it using a homemade formula.

I am glad to hear the little boy is doing well. Are you bottle feeding or tube feeding?

I'm bottle feeding, he latches right on when I put it by his lips, at first he pushed it out but after that he just latches on now when I put it by his lips, he uses my fingers to push, its so adorable..

I've read somewhere goats milk and half water is best, but like you said if he is doing we'll on the vets milk I should stick to that. I just want the best for him, thats all.

Yes goats milk is one of the best, but imo, I'd stay with the formula a bit longer, Sometimes even human babies are put on goat's milk.
