I am glad that i was at the park today otherwise she may have died. I am so heartbroken that someone can do this to any pet. I guess my hands are going to be full because i am a owner of two yorkies which one may also be pregnant because of two ties on may 11th and may 12th. I feel like i am doing the right thing by taking in the yorkie which by the way is very beautiful. I guess i will be putting her pups up for apotion because i don't know who she was mated with. Now why would any vet think he sees 7 puppies when there are only 2? Why would the same vet say he was going to monitor her weekly until she was close to having puppies when she was already so close she had them half a day later? Why would same vet say on the day of birth what sort of puppies he thought they were mixed with when so many breeds start out looking almost identical? Then why would two puppies, which "did not appear big on ultrasound" but are now huge at birth be too much for an 11 pound Yorkie to nurse, especially during those crucial first 2 days when they need to get the antibodies? I cannot imagine any vet sending the puppies home for the owner to bottle feed because they were too large -- not on the day they were born. Sure they conceivably could get too large to continue nursing, but not on the day of birth. Something is wrong here -- either this vet is a total whack or we are not getting the right info.
