Come to find out most of their beloved dogs live with other people, and they just bring in the money from the breeding's. Long distance love I guess.

There is still only one club World wide that has the co-originator of the breed's endorsement. Anyone saying they are following the dream and standard of Mr. and Mrs. Biewer are not telling the truth.

How ironic is true!! Some things never cease to amaze me.

Sure, I don't know this person, nor have I ever been in S.A. I can't even imagine breeding a 2 lb dog, but I've raised guinea pigs and they are much smaller and haven't had any problems. I don't agree with breeding for tinies, but they do happen. I get quit a few myself, but to say they are unhealthy and a heartache, is like saying that all the small people are going to be unhealthy because they are little. I happen to have quite a few Yorkies that matured to be 2 1/2 and 3 lbs that are still alive today at the age of 16 and down. I have Biewer Terries that are 3 and 4 lbs that are thriving going on 5 yrs. old.

What I don't like is the self righteous attitude of people that are placing opinions as if they were facts. People that don't breed, telling breeders how it should be done. Breeders acting as if they care about nothing but the breed and are mixing 2 different breeds together, and half their dogs don't even live on their property. People that aren't going to listen to anyone that has an opinion different than theirs. People that jump down another breeders throat for the prices they sell their dogs for when they are selling their dogs with under bites and other problems for the same if not more. People that continue to breed dogs that have known genetic problems. People that don't stand behind their dogs when they have health issues or have died because of a genetic defect. Bad breeding is bad breeding no matter what flavor of the month it is.

Very well said Gayle, and if I may add, I bought one of her guinea pigs(ms Tootsie), she is 11 mos and only 2 3/4 lbs and healthier than my 6 year old huge yorkie. Like Gayle said, she does NOT breed for the tinies, but, just like other breeders, does occasionally have small pups. All of her breeding females are 5 lbs and over, and all very healthy and beautiful as well. Geez Gayle, next time you go to South Africa, can I go with

I really don't think it's the health problems growing up, as I said, my 2 3/4 lb biewer is healthier than my big yorkie, but, it's def. too small to be breeding.

Please, it's like you're always trying to cause problems. To the OP, as far as what I've read, I would buy some new tennis shoes, and run away. I would never buy from a breeder that breeds 2 pound dogs.

Diana, Gayle does not slip, she is very upfront and honest, and I have found, she knows what she's talking about. She is close personal friends with Mrs Biewer, I respect her for doing what Mrs Biewer wants done. The thing is, this thread has gotten out of hand, the OP asked a question. I don't know why you even call your dogs Biewers. You mix Yorkies and Biewers together which is no more than a designer dog. It's understandable to do things in ignorance, but to do them when the facts are on the table is another thing.

I have read many web-sites that say they are following the Biewer's dream and standard. Not one of these people have talked to Mrs. Biewer, so how can they know the dream? They have a Mi Ki breeders standard displayed, which Jan/enchantedtoi finally admitted to, so how are they following their standard.

I have bred 1 litter of splitters and that was over 1.5 years ago. May I ask how many litters of splitters you have bred?

Facts, like numbers can be twisted to be used to make whatever point someone is trying to make. Facts come from an unbiased source. I'll wait until there really are reliable facts, then we have something to talk about.
