| red bleeding with a tie? I usually stud my male with a female that has past her "bleeding" and is in the pinkish discharge area. I had someone come over yesterday for stud service. We had talked in depth and she told me her female was on her 9th day yesterday. She wanted her bred yesterday and today. Yesterday I noticed no discharge from her (not to say she didn't clean herself). They had a very long tie (of course the length of time means nothing) and today he doesn't seem interested at all and I noticed some spots of blood from her vulva. I want to ensure her pregnancy of course but as I said none of my females are usually still bleeding. Anyone else have this issue? Please let me know today if possible. It would be a great help. I am not sure if I should keep her over an additional night or not. She has had one tie (last night) She is flagging hard and stood perfect for him yesterday.

| It is perfectly normal for them to drip blood after a tie. There is no advantage for you to breed them two days in a row. The males sperm can live in the female tract after natural mating for two to seven days. I always breed mine around day 9 then skip 1 or two days and breed again. |

| Thank you :-) Yes I will be breeding on the 9th and 11th day. I requested she stay again tonight and explained why so she wouldn't worry. I kept a belly band and his pants on (literally) today. He just showed no interested in even licking her today as he did yesterday. He'll be ready again by tomorrow I am sure, as I have seperated them in different areas. I just wanted to see if the blood thing was familiar to anyone. I'll rest more easy now! Thank you
