| that is a very low temp if you are taking it right are you sure you inserted the thermometer in far enough. 52 days is really young the ideal is 58-63 and 58 is still early from what i have read. are you sure you have your tie dates correct. how is she acting in general. |

| That is a low temperature and I would hope she is not ready to deliver. She may have some low blood sugar going on so I recommend you give her some nutri-cal or karo syrup and water. Has she been eating today? Are you positive about the breeding dates? Do you feel puppy movement? Please keep us posted. |

I ♥ Joey & Ralphie! Donating Member | I'm no breeder, but bologna and hot dogs sound like they would be horrible for her. There are really high high fat. Do pregnant dogs need high fat? Also they have so much salt and preservatives. Best of luck.

| Us too! I have a little one due next week. March 8th will be day 59. I know they go between 59 and 63 days ideally. But I am anxious and hoping all goes well! She is sooooo quiet today, resting up I am sure! Is it normal for them to have really small almost puppy sized poops? And she is leaking greenish mucus also. And soooooo round and FULL! Puppies are really moving around a lot in there too! It's amazing! Is there any way of telling approx how many are in there? I am afraid I won't know when she is 'done' whelping. In any case we are ready, but she has decided to take up residence in a closet instead of her little whelping 'den' that we made her! Go figure! |

I ♥ Joey & Ralphie! Donating Member | I found a stray once and gave him some bologna, and the same thing happened. I took him to the vet who warned me about giving such things to dogs, and I thought Yorkies were especially sensitive to high fat, and even one meal that was too high in fat could cause an attack of acute pancreatitis, something a pregnant mama sure doesn't need.
